Nice find! That link mentions some names I haven't heard yet. Cool..
He'll join previously announced cast members Katee Sackoff, Jordi Molla, Nolan Funk, Karl Urban, Matt Nable, David Bautista, Conrad Pla, Raoul Trujillo and Bokeem Woodbine.
He'll be joining himself? lol
Matt Nable
Conrad Pla
Raoul Trujillo
Raoul Trujillo was the lead villain in Apocalypto. He was awesome! I knew the casting would be great! This is gonna be a massive orgasm of Sci-Fi macho greatness. notworthy
The only thing that could make it better right now is if they got Willem Dafoe. 😐
This shit is exploding. The IMDB page updated with all the people previously mentioned (except for Dave Bautista, oddly enough). And a new chick (never heard of her)...
She's perty.
Okay, so I have a couple Riddick questions. One about Pitch Black, and the other about Chronicles. They're a little nerdy...
Pitch Black: You know how it shows all those huge skeletons that I think we are supposed to assume were killed off by the light-shy creatures. Well, how did such massive creatures evolve on such a planet when the night-killers come out every 22 years (or however long it is)? Were the giant creatures transported from another planet or what?
Chronicles of Riddick: You know how Imam says that Helion Prime shares its sunlight with all worlds nearby? Well, what is the purpose of sharing sunlight? Isn't that kind of the whole point behind sunlight... it's available to all? Perhaps Helion Prime alone has the resources to properly capture it and package it for use? Or something?

I always got the impression that those huge skeletons were more related to the fact that the planet was once as lush as Earth's jungles & the creatures become extinct (like dinosaurs) NOT so much as killed off by the "night creatures".
And because Helion Prime is a planet of multicultures & religious tolerance, I think Imam is referring to "HP sharing its sunlight with all worlds nearby" as more of something to do with faith & knowledge than actual sunshine.

1. Okay, I think I can dig that. I guess that makes sense. However, Imam says, "What could have killed so many great things?" I think that might have been meant to imply that they were killed off by the night creatures.
2. I like that non-literal interpretation, and that is almost certainly intended, but I think he also means it literally. They have those huge structures that appear to be harnessing the sunlight energy or something. You know? That's why all the other planets would fall once the Necromongers took down Helion Prime.

That's the thing also...those huge structures could've purely been just "space-filler" for the background graphics. The artists put them in with no exact reasoning or purpose to the movie or plot.
Like in the "Star Wars" verse...all the geeks creating back stories to sub-characters, planets in the distance or relics that's laying around.
I'm just saying Helion Prime came across as more of a multi cultural planet then an industrial one.
Jus saying...
I think you're underestimating the amount of thought and expertise that goes into filmmaking and just writing it off as, "They just did it to look cool and futuristic." :/
They wouldn't put huge, prominent structures on the main planet of the story without having SOME idea for what purpose they serve.
