Cool. I think I'll tattoo it on my forehead.

5 years after Pitch Black, the wanted criminal Riddick arrives on a planet called Helion Prime, and finds himself up against an invading empire called the Necromongers, an army that plans to convert or kill all humans in the universe.

Director: David Twohy

Just seen on Vin's Facebook Jan 2013 will be the release date......something decent to look forward to in a January month since alot of the movies aren't that great or just ok.

Ah, cool. I found it. I can still see some of his stuff even though I de-friended him...

The studio said the earliest they could release the new "Riddick" is in January... was hoping for 2012... but, it's on the horizon.

P.s. I think they are liking what they are seeing... haha, cause they asked when both Underverse and Furya would be ready to make and release... haha... now that's a ways in the future but it is exciting.

Encouraging words from Riddick himself. 😮‍💨

That's still almost 3 times the budget of Pitch Black.

Adjust for inflation since the year 2000; it's only about twice as much as Pitch Black.

I want a picture of the math calculated out on a blackboard. Get it done.

Where did you get the 1.332?

Online. Inflation between 2000 and 2012 is 33.2%.

Alrighty then. 👆

Yeah, I saw that on facebook. I'm liking that weird skull staff.

Not a major update, I'm afraid, but kinda cool none-the-less...

Haha... 12. 12. 12

Now, this is just great fan art...

However... it wouldn't be the first time you've willed things into being...

P.s. Still waiting on the official release date from the studio... but we are getting closer.

The more I see about this the less excited I get.

I have little hope for this. He's been on a down-ward spiral since PB and Boiler Room.

I liked it when he got shot to DEATH in Saving Private Ryan.

Must you be a naysaying negative Nancy about everything? We haven't even seen anything official and polished yet (just behind-the-scenes type stuff). Jesus H. Christ.

I like the premise on IMDB about him being stranded on a desert planet as it harks back to PB rather than Chronicles but that picture above with the stupid looking skull and bones staff thing just looks cheesy as fvck. I wish they would just retcon all the shitty necromonger/furion mythology out if it...He was more bad ass when he was just a cold blooded murderer, alien *****-stomping, straight talking hard bastard. But given this new film has Vaako in it then that's obviously not where they're going.

Okay, so you're more of a bare-bones, bare essentials, basics type. I get it. I like that, too. But expanded mythology makes room for more elaborate, juicy, and meaty themes. I can appreciate both. Dark sci-fi is my bread and butter, though. And this is kind of a dark and violent Star Wars for adults. LOVE it. I will admit that I didn't like the Elementals in TCOR. They were more than a bit silly, but most everything else worked very well to me.
