Can I make a medicine roll to help him recover? We'll need Vlad's input at some point.
"He said some odd things to us," Wentar says. "He warned us about trying to escape and seemed to care about whether we lived or died. I sensed he was nervous about something too... Stressed but excited at the same time."
Applying a Medicine rating to him will stabilize him, yes. He needs rest.
And you do too, having taken quite a beating. The excitement of finding Altar has kept you going. Now, you need to rest, as is evident by the fact that you are hardly conscious yourself.
"We'll talk when you're rested," Altar says.
Altar has a Medicine rating of 7 and can apply it to both you and Vlad, and then 10 damage is removed after resting. Wentar is at 44 damage, Vlad at 48 damage, Altar at 0.
Assuming Med is off of Int Wentar has a score of 5 if he can use that at all.
Seems we're in a massive bind here. Altar more or less summed it up. But Emso is still on the outside. I have no idea how that is useful but it's something.
Right now it looks like the Jedi will have to bide their time in the cell until they get a general idea on how things are run. Shift changes and the like.
Biding your time is all you can really do, and you think about a day passes before anyone opens the cell again. Before it opens, you all sense turbulence outside- arguing.
When it opens, a near-death Emso is thrown into the cell by the ever-callous Hanza. The Renaissance Man of Crime steps into the cell and is followed promptly by a distressed Loj'oon and a medical droid.
"Your response was completely unnecessary!" Loj'oon is reprimanding Hanza.
"He's with them!" Hanza shouts back. "Totally justified!"
"Attend to your patient," Loj'oon says as an aside to the medical droid, which is advancing on you now that you are in the way. "Wentar, step aside, let him work."
"Why are you even bothering?" Hanza asks. "The little sneak shot at me when I caught him! Are you going soft, you bug-eyed pissant?"
"No," Loj'oon says, "but I do not particularly care for your brand of violence. I may have come into power through it, but I certainly do not intend to use it more than I need to."
"But he's with them!" Hanza snarls. "They all should be dead!"
"You are under MY command, and you will do as I order, Hanza," Loj'oon snaps. "Need I remind you that I am the one writing your paychecks?"
Hanza fumes at this.
Wentar will move aside, allowing the medical droid through.
He then smirks at Hanza. "Best not disobey your master, Hanza," he says, well aware that he is on thin ice, but needing to vent his frustrations. "Other wise you may wind up in here with us. I would most certainly find it an amusing sight." He prepares himself in case Hanza decides to answer with violence.
He hopes that Altar and Vlad are keeping an eye on Emso and the medical droid.
Hanza starts to reach for his gun but Loj'oon fixes him with a glare and the smuggler thinks better of it. He curses in Huttese and stomps out of the cell.
"I cannot take him into our medical facilities," Loj'oon says after a moment. "The droid is the best I can do. He has instructions to tend to you all."
Loj'oon leaves before you can ask why.
(Turns out it was mentioned!)
"I think I need to fill you in here, Altar," Wentar says with a sigh. "The Council swore me to secrecy, but you deserve to know.
"Senator Farl was corrupt, I should have seen it from the start. He use to work for the Kylugo Srum, before defecting to the Tyr-sen to used his Committee Position to put pressure on the Srum for profit, that's why the assassination attempts started.
"He, he was selling his own people out for profit and personal power," Wentar says, his voice shaking slightly. "I only found this out when I was confronted by the assassins themselves and I defended him. I slew the assassins, I killed them to keep him alive and then? He shot me in the back, telling me 'I knew too much' and I would have died there.
He attempts to keep himself together as he recalls the details of these recent events. "Emso was the one on the tapes, threatening Farl. He was Farl's slave, sold to Farl by the Srum. He was the one who killed Farl and saved my life..." He trails off, visibly upset. Awaiting Altar's response.
