STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Chains

That can be done with the meager funds you possess, if that is what is being done. Savoir Faire can help you find it cheap somewhere unless you pull a Terminator and steal someone else's clothing.

Heh, Wentar could do a Terminator too. "Your cloths, give them to me." *Hand Wave*...

But seriously, Wentar's not really a fan of clothing theft. Savoir Faire to find some cheap, non Jedi clothing, something very Scum and Villany-ish, please. No armor though, at least not for Wentar.

Yeah let's just buy them and hopefully they'll be clean.

Finding clothing that is not literally scummy proves difficult, but Wentar eventually tracks down the Star Wars equivalent of a thrift store and you two get into civilian garb. Always a weird thing for a Jedi, I would imagine, getting average clothes on after Wentar's white robes or Vlad's leather tunic...

The New Feather turns out to be a popular nightclub in the lower city. Nothing like a Coruscant nightclub with its flashy lights and techno-ish music, this place is dark and grungy. Everything from the rock band on stage to the shady patrons to the outdated grillwork on the floor and walls reeks of underworld and you are not at all surprised to find that a Hutt owns the place.

Now that you are here, you need to find Harfer. Sadly, you have no idea what said person looks like.

Indeed, hell Wentar still wears his Jedi Garb into his Renegade days. Though they are no longer white, more brown and grey to fit more with the scummy Outer Rim scene. Also, Yay, Hutts... I figure I'll start with the standard approach, ask a bartender!

Wentar will approach the bar, ordering a drink. "... Also you wouldn't happen to know where I can find a guy named Harfer!" Wentar asks one of the bartenders, shouting over the music. May as well use Scan, no force point, on this guy. Just to gauge their reaction.

As is becoming a trend with my bartenders, this fellow is apathetic.

He slides you your drink, then gestures across the nightclub to a booth by the dance floor.

Vlad nods at Wentar as they receive the location, signaling him to lead.

So who are we pretending to be? Mercenaries?

I'm thinking we pretend to be people sent by Viriont to pick up his payment, then we demand an audience with Edula from him, via either persuasion or threats.

Sounds great, let's do it!

Vlad will follow Wentar over to Harfer, letting Wentar do the talking for now.

Looks like Wentar's leading the way! Before I wanna do any talking I'd like to know how many people are in the booth, did the bartender specifically point out which one was Harfer or was he vague about it?

There is just one person in the booth, a scruffy looking nerfherder if you ever saw one. He's a Snivvian, a snaggle-toothed alien renowned for being crafty. He doesn't pay you any mind when you walk up; he's busy watching a Twi'lek girl dancing.

"Hello there, Harfer," Wentar says, keeping a neutral face as he approaches the booth, taking a seat opposite him. "Viriont sent us to pick up his payment."

Harfer frowns with one eye; the other is hidden under a patch.

"Who the hell are you?" Harfer snarls.

"I told you already, we're part of Viriont's crew!" Wentar retorts, faking annoyance. "He got Edula's message to collect the payment from you."

"Yeah, but you're not Viriont," Harfer says. "Get out of my face."

Wentar- you sense danger.

Awww crap, I'm thinking gun under the table trick.

Is it an 'immediate danger' sense? If it is, Wentar will swiftly get out of the seat.

I have more I want to do and say, but I wanna see what happens and what the danger is first.

Now that you mention it, you can't see his hands.

The danger is not immediate but present.

Ah, cancel my last action then. Still, I'm thinking pushing this is becoming a gamble. Vlad! Look all tough and stuff so this guys gets second thoughts about making things go violent... Dunno where Emso is actually, is he with us or looking after the ships?

"Viriont isn't in any position to go walking about Nar Shadaa, that business with the Jedi on Triskatan left him pretty mess up. He sent us in his stead," Wentar says, narrowing his eyes. "Now I don't want this to get violent, so why don't you put that gun away and we can get down to talking business."

"Hey, don't take me for a fool," Harfer says. "This ain't Viriont's usual set-up. We cleared his other guys. You're not them. I repeat, out of my face."

"Harfer, we did not come all the way to Nar Shaddaa to be told off. Viriont let us borrow his ship in order to make sure that you know we were sent by him. A one of a kind ship it is..."
