STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- The Cursed Swarm

The Hsrik laughs and sheds the cloak that hangs from his armor.

"It is, Jedi. I shall prove my might today."

"This is a waste of time!" the pirate insists. "Just have them killed!"

The Hsrik roars at him and he falls silent.

'Strength has many forms,' replies Iffa, 'might is one, as is athleticism, and stamina. One of each?'

The Hsrik is genuinely excited by this.

"What do you propose for each test of strength?"

It is clear he hasn't had some competition in awhile...

'Lifting for might; jumping for athleticism; standing for stamina'

"Standing?" asks the Hsrik.

'First to sit loses.'

The Hsrik is confused by this.

"How do you make a competition of that?"

'you stand, keep standing, and the first to sit loses. Unless you have an alternative stamina test.'

"Whatever trick this is, it will not work on me!" the Hsrik says. "The competition is on!"

The Garans around all roar ferociously in excitement. You have a feeling that nobody has challenged the Hsrik in awhile.

Iffa smiles and offers his hand.

'This will be fun!' he says.

The Hsrik shakes your hand! The pirate is protesting and is largely ignored.

As suggested by the Jedi, the first competition is... might! The Hsrik leads you out to the edge of the Garan's clearing, where trees have been felled and boulders are strewn about.

Don't suppose any force skills would help?

Unfortunately not! You do get your Athlete's bonus here.

Well I'm expecting to lose this round...

Iffa is actually an incredibly fit guy! If any of the Jedi templates could take an athletic contest, it would be the Athlete. It will be down to rolls.

TEST OF MIGHT

The Hsrik has led you into a clearing strewn with boulders and logs. The Garans are gathering around to watch, as are your allies. And, of course, the demagogue pirate...

The Garans are rolling different objects into place for the contestants to lift to display their strength. They are increasingly heavy, or numerous, in order to present a greater and greater challenge.

Each object will has a difficulty rating. Matching the rating with your roll will earn you those points. Each success past the rating will be worth double!

The first object: a rotted log!

The Hsrik is kind enough to let you go first.

Iffa nods in appreciation, before lifting the said log.

The rotted log is porous and decayed, so not very heavy at all. Iffa rolls two successes when he only needed one. 3 points to Iffa!

The Hsrik manages to lift the log easily, rolling two successes as well.
