STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- The Cursed Swarm

This time, the interceptor you target manages to break out of your lock just before you blast it to bits. It does not escape unscathed at least.

Your vessel could be doing better.

BLOCKADE RUN, Start of Turn 5

Iffa's Fighter (T4/M6/P6): 14 (0)

Interceptors (T4/M4/P5) x2: 3 (0)
Interceptor (P5): 1 (0)

----

Ok time to flee!

Having reduced the interceptors in number, you are clear to make a dash for the planet! Only two pursue you- the third limps back to the cruiser.

You gain bonus successes for having cleared away your attackers, but you do not have a Thrust advantage over the interceptors, so you only roll six dice... and show four successes! Impressive.

The interceptors turn and give pursuit, rolling one success each. If they come within one point of you, they can start shooting again.

BLOCKADE RUN, Start of Turn 6

Iffa's Fighter (T4/M6/P6): 14 (6)

Interceptors (T4/M4/P5) x2: 3 (1)

----

You are racing for the atmosphere. Your comm unit is picking up the emergency Jedi broadcast signal faintly on the far side of the planet.

Can I drop mines, etc, while I flee?

Jedi fighters aren't exactly known for being loaded with mines. But, if you have ideas, you can make rolls to mess up their rolls! Usually easier with obstacles.

Nah, just head towards the signal quickly!

Three successes! The interceptors are starting to fall behind as you reach the edge of Boll-Gar's atmosphere.

BLOCKADE RUN, Start of Turn 7

Iffa's Fighter (T4/M6/P6): 14 (9)

Interceptors (T4/M4/P5) x2: 3 (3)

----

Keep on going! Do my sensors pick up anything from the planet?

The signal is getting stronger the closer you get.

And the life scans are insane! You are picking up millions of beings, far more than the recorded population of the planet.

Two successes shows you entering the atmosphere of Boll-Gar roughly, entering into a brewing rainstorm. The interceptors really push their engines to the limit and start gaining.

BLOCKADE RUN, Start of Turn 8

Iffa's Fighter (T4/M6/P6): 14 (11)

Interceptors (T4/M4/P5): 3 (7)
Interceptor: 3 (6)

----

Push it harder to get away from them!

One interceptor is starting to fall behind while the other darts into the atmosphere after you. It takes some long-range shots but has no hope of hitting you in this gathering storm. You yourself can hardly see...

BLOCKADE RUN, Start of Turn 8

Iffa's Fighter (T4/M6/P6): 14 (13)

Interceptors (T4/M4/P5): 3 (9)
Interceptor: 3 (6)

----

Ok just Try and reach the distress signal!

You are having trouble locking on to it... you roll no successes this turn, while suddenly an interceptor is upon you! It scores a blast along your port side for 4 damage.

----

BLOCKADE RUN, Start of Turn 9

Iffa's Fighter (T4/M6/P6): 10 (13)

Interceptors (T4/M4/P5): 3 (13)
Interceptor: 3 (7)

----

Turn and blast the git.

You perform a maneuver to put yourself on the interceptors tail. Two successes is not enough to blast it out of the sky, and it manages to return the favor despite being damaged.

----

BLOCKADE RUN, Start of Turn 10

Iffa's Fighter (T4/M6/P6): 8 (13)

Interceptors (T4/M4/P5): 1 (13)
Interceptor: 3 (8)

----

Finish them!

It tries to lose you in the clouds. Your Jedi instincts allow you to finish it off anyway.

That other interceptor is trying to close in...

----

BLOCKADE RUN, Start of Turn 11

Iffa's Fighter (T4/M6/P6): 8 (13)

Interceptors (T4/M4/P5): 3 (10)

----

Iffa swings up and around the last interceptor, and blasts it.

The final interceptor goes out in a dramatic explosion! Leaving you free to locate the emergency beacon.

You guide your Jedi fighter down below the storm and out of the clouds, coming upon the tallest of the planet-wide rainforest's trees almost immediately. It is raining heavily.

The signal is coming from just over the next ridge.

Try and hail someone on the ground.
