Perhaps we need to get their strength (their numbers) as their weakness somehow?
It IS a rather confined space, so we need to get them to run each other over or something?
I assume none of my suggestions would work... Lets see...
The whole situation as I see it.
6 Ladies, one the head of them all, blocking Gallagher from proceeding. Thea is out of it and Sunda is thrown in a wall. Aquila is about to kill him. Yeomen are not far off, but we're closer, though I doubt close enough to make it in time. Roan has the Control Center covered. We still need to make it to the train, break the locks and figure out how to get it started before we are 'safe'.
Hmmm...
Since fleeing has been ruled out by Ush, standing and fighting must be an option... Perhaps if Gallagher draws his lightsaber and attacks? You said yourself Thea isn't much of a fighter so perhaps this Consul is similar. Force her to flee by making her realize just how dangerous you are?
Judging by that typical GM vagueness I'm now willing to bet she's packing her own lightsaber-esqu weapon. 😛
And yet I'm certainly running out of possible ideas on what to do here, with talking and fleeing out of the equation. There is a way to get out of this situation, I just can't see it yet.
Are the other Jedi, myself included, too far away to help?
(I think if we go in there to 'help' we're all tost. I don't think fighting is an option, at least not a long fight. The rest of the group has a plan, but we're not sure how to get Gallagher out of his pickle. And Sunda and Thea. Can gallagher go for a distraction by simply flinging any random loose object (even a stone) at Aquila? Just enough to break her concentration, then he darts away. But that still leaves Sunda/thea. I got no ideas there, sorry.)
Aye, I'm also uneasy about throwing out advice when it's not even my character who's in immediate trouble. More specifically I don't want to accidentally kill someones character, especially a vets, due to bad advice.
That being said the only options I can see right now is a Force Push to throw her off her feet or bring out the lightsaber. Or both.
I'll keep thinking though!
I will once more point out that to move a named character with the Force you need Fling. Literally nothing else will do it.
You could try a Push, but say that worked- there are still the others in the way. And exactly as I said before, what does that gain you to get past her? That's mis-reading the problem.
You get past her, she... turns around. And now she's looking at those coming around to try and get to the train, and then you are finished.
The VITAL thing is that Aquila is currently not looking at the train.
Oh right! I somehow got it stuck in my head that Combat Push on a named character/supermook knocked them down.
Yeah, I sorta realized that we don't want her turning around but I was too focused on figuring out how to get Gallagher out of this mess and sorta forgot that minor major detail.
This basically boils down to having to keep her occupied until after everyone else is on the train and the locks cut. Hmmm.
If Gallagher engages her in a fight, he will keep her occupied until we're ready to move on. Perhaps Sunda may even be able to lend a hand after the first 'turn'. I'm unsure if he's down and out or just temporarily stunned. Thea can pick up Vera and be ready to make a break for it.
Which would make the complete plan look like this.
Roan cuts open the South door in the control room, the rest of us meet up in the control room and follow through the door, going around until we reach the T-junction, then proceed to the train and remove the magnetic locks/figure out how to get the train started. (Can Roan look that up from the Control Room?)
Meanwhile! Gallagher engages Aquila in a fight, keeping her focus on him so we can slip by, once we've made it to the train he disengages the fight, along with SUnda and Thea carrying Vera and they all make a break for the train, which, hopefully, can immediately take off the second they get aboard.
The second part relies on; Sunda not being knocked out, we somehow figure out a way for them to get past Aquila and we're trusting that Aquila doesn't have a personal 'kill anything that comes near or attacks me' field.
There are probably large holes in part two of the plan that need some poking and filling, what have I missed?
Also! Do we even need to take the whole train? Can't we just take the forward carriage?
Then that's fine. I'm sure Wentar has enough Pilot to figure out what the 'go' button is anyway.
I actually think the first part of my plan is more or less set. We just need to get people on locating and dealing with the locks, which we can't do right now.
However do we know what Sunda's condition is? Hate to say it but Gallagher isn't exactly the best fighter of the group and he's already pretty banged up. He'll need all the help he can get.
Indeed.
That being the case, I feel a bit better about this simply because of Gallagher's naturally high Force defense, and the likelihood that she can only attack with the Force.
Gallagher will drop Vera-Kin for the second time today and make an approach on Lady Aquila, igniting his lightsaber. He does not spare time for words and going after her.
Evade, Lifting, and Coordination instead of my attack if she uses something like Bombard. Simply attack if along the lines of Fling or other powers.
Okay then! No time to waste! Is there nothing else Roan needs to do at the console? Train is online? Doors to the platform are open? Doors letting the train out are open?
If nothing else is needed to be done then Roan proceed to cut open that door to the south (Or unlock it via the console if that's fine.)
Everyone else! Pile into the control room now. (Unless we have a spare Jedi or two who wants to aid Gallagher.)
