Is it possible to update the council on what happened? I guess they can't send a medical facilities or anything but at least a quick update should keep them in the loop.

Furthermore, I want to take the time to learn the culture and history of the place and people where we are now. I'm new so I'm not up to date with everything. Languages would be interesting too, but I guess that's not my speciality.

You'll need some context for the other questions. It could take a long time to tell the whole history of the planet. Why not think of some pertinent specifics?

Well I'll ask how Aquila came to power and why she hates us.

Well, the Consul is elected- not by the populace, though their support is normally taken into account, but by vote from amongst all the Ladies. Aquila won the election on promises of security and safety.

Ohh, quasi-parliamentary.
What about the force powers? Who has them?

Influence over the Harmony you mean... just certain women. Something you are born to. But then she goes a bit further than you expected.

"All the Ladies are born to their role- what they can do; what they are good at. You can tell just by looking at them."

She twirls her hair.

"So different hair relates to different powers?"

(Wow, can't wait to see what the Blonds can do. Maybe this will prove that Blonds DO have more fun!)

"Hair colour is a sign of the caste you were born to, which dictates one's abilities within the Harmony."

Jelena is very interested in this.

"Really? How very strange. Could you explain more in depth?"

Well, she explains.

The Ladies born with dark hair are of the Dravid caste. They tend to be contemplative, and they understand more of the grand scheme of the Harmony- how all the little pieces build up into the entire picture. They are good at predicting the future and understanding the role of destiny in a person's life.

Those with blonde hair are of the Vantil. The Vantil have a much more immediate understanding of the Harmony, and are much more capable of using it to manipulate the world around them- telekinesis, influence over others, and the like.

That explains why Thea is not much of a fighter, and why her predictions were more accurate than Aquila's.

"Does eye color play any role in this?" Jelena asks.

"Are there any other hair colors?" Gallagher asks, keeping the Woman with White Hair in mind. "And where do the Zaari fit into that?"

No, eye colour does not.

"The Zaari are less talented in the delicacies of the Harmony, but they have focussed all of their efforts on personal strength, fitness, co-ordination and some aspects of telekinesis. Many feel the call to the Zaari- their job is to... 'deal with' disharmonious elements on Thalos.

"Why do you ask that?" she says to you, Gallagher.

Gallagher will explain.

"We came to Thalos while trying to a woman named Kara Katai, whom we now think is or was one of the Zaari. She has been causing great trouble in the Republic. Now, I have had visions that connect her with a Woman with White Hair... so I wonder if any of the current Ladies, or Ladies that have come before, ever had white hair. And I don't mean from old age... I think... not quite certain, actually."

Thea sighs.

"I did wonder why you came. Aquila thought it was for something different... you are looking for the Lady Adelmo. She's not here, I am afraid."

"Who is she?" Gallagher asks. "I have dreamed of her for some time. Why does Lady Aquila think we came?"

"Aquila thinks you came to help me.

"You are correct; there is a third caste. Once in a generation- if that- a Lady is born with white hair. A Kreel."
