Consider them informed!

Which leaves you guys pouring over exactly what happened there. As you know, the vaults the droids came from are marked as technical spares. Roan found they were all owned by the same corporate body. Xeth, you spend some days checking that name out. The corporation is in turn linked to many others. They all have one thing in common- Shareth the Hutt is on their board.

Meanwhile, you guys are decompiling the massive amounts of junk in the vault. A ship arrives a day later to take Katai away.

Xeth is righteously pissed about that and will start seeing what he can do to start an investigation into it and get it all shut down. He is sure Shareth will be unhappy about losing all those droids. How did Katai even get control of them?

And how did she block our comms?

Are Jedi taking her back to Coruscant?

Actually, Xeth, the only people that could have supplied the entry codes for those vaults would be the people that purchased them, so you suspect Shareth knew those droids were going to be used and hence,m eventually, lost. So why do it? Well, take one guess, based on why the Hutts ever do anything.

Some days later, the lawyers respond to your 'issues' with outrage- though not directed at you. They were sold those parts in good faith by the Techno Union, years ago! They have written agreements signed by the Union's trade representative that assured them they were inert! They never saw the goods themselves- just stored them for later use. It must have been a sabotaged shipment! They are willing to provide you the name and all the details of the Union representative who sold them- Carlan Ryamore.

(XETH RAGE!!!)

She hacked the local comms network to create the disruption.

Yup! Back to Coruscant.

Xeth will facepalm but nonetheless pass this on to his contacts on Taloraan, to see what they can do with it. He has greater concerns with the Adelmo nonsense.

They can't do a darn thing with it- Ryamore is long dead with a whole stolen army on his posthumous rap sheet.

The only thing this does is confirm what they pretty much had already assumed- Shareth has hidden the remaining Naboo droid shipments. There can only be thousands left by now, but enough for her to make money off of it if need be.

Meanwhile, in those days of searching these weird lumps of metal- which are going to take forever to electronically date and sort- it is Gallagher who comes up with something.

This place has a lot of these weird metallic strips- very thin indeed, almost like tape. Some of them have weird symbols and the like etched into them. There;s plenty of stuff like this in here so at first it didn't stand out that much, but Gallagher- guided by his instincts here once more- made the connection.

The symbol he saw on one of those bits of tape... is the same symbol as was on the Thalossian prophecy. The symbol for Change... but whether for good or ill is unknown.

-

Meanwhile, there is a message from Coruscant. It is primarily for Roan or Xeth, but anyone can be in on the convo.

Xeth will take the call.

It's your favourite man, Xeth! Kir Ascar wishes to talk to you all.

Xeth is a little less at odds with Oscar after the lead he gave us and due to the extreme usefulness of what Xeth learned to do.

"Ah, Ascar ... I see you managed to hitch a ride. I'm surprised to see you back on Coruscant."

"Well, I did say I was heading there!" he says. "I just thought you might want to know that I got back safely. Seems I still have my old hitch-hiking talent."

"It appears so," says Xeth. "So, we nabbed Katai... thanks to your lead. I suppose that makes us even. We're still figuring out what she was after."

"Actually, as I understand it, my lead didn't help you catch her at all! says Ascar. "Sorry if it seems I wasted your time... I hope the trip to that world was worth your time. The natives called it Thalos, I believe?"

Gallagher will posit that the scrap metal was all once part of one thing, since they all have weird symbols. This was definitely what Katai was after.

"Your lead put us on the path to Thalos," Gallagher says. "And yes, it was called Thalos. What do you know about it, if anything?"

"Nothing at all!" says Ascar. "Except that people matching the description you people gave of Katai could be seen on the murals of the Atrii, in turn pointing to that world.

"I am., however, extremely interested to hear more about what you found..."

I am, despite appearances, actually around now! Yay!

I want to tell the council about the prophecy, and what we advised them to do (Move towards expansion) but that I strongly advise that they keep it secret. They could be easy targets for exploitation and they should be able to enter the galaxy at their own pace.

Regarding Ascar, We can tell him that we met with some less than friendly natives, then some friendly natives, and helped them come back to power. Then we got tipped off about Katai and bounced. Mention nothing remotely close to hinting at the prophecy.

"But Force-using natives, I understand?" says Ascar.

"Yes," Gallagher says. "An entire governing body of them. All matriarchal and divided into two castes by hair color, with the rare appearance of a third. They were great in number and not all of them were good natured."

Hmmm, Xeth in light of this reminder maybe us Renegades should focus on trying to get at Sharetha's remaining droids. If we ignore it it could come back to bite us.

Since Gallagher is talking with Ascar, Wentar would like to look at those tapes.

Are there more with the Thalossian mark of Change?

Do any of the other symbols stand out as Thalossian?

You don't think so, Wentar. But there's loads of this stuff; it will take ages to sift through it all.

-

"Fascinating..." says Ascar. "I wonder what could cause the Force to manifest in such a way? Still, there are many such wonders out there. I look forward to reading your report!

"And Katai came from this world? Did you get any inkling as to her motivation?"!

Jelena will join the conversation.

"Yes. She is working for a rogue of Thalos, a woman with white hair named Adelmo that apparently holds great power. They are after something... the Syphar N Kalar, whatever it is. We were not able to recover a great deal of information under the circumstances."
