"And the Chancellor is personally addressing the issues here and ensuring that the Act is passed," Jelena says. "Between the Chancellor and the Count, I cannot imagine that things will not come right for Ando."

"Let us hope so," says Dooku. "You may bear a message back to the Chancellor yourselves, if you would be so kind- I shall personally repay any damages caused by this incident."

Jelena is slightly shocked by that.

"If only the Jedi Order had access to your bank account," Jelena says. "That is awfully charitable of you, Count."

"Well, the Galaxy must know that these people are not the violent extremists that the likes of Senator Nebb like to portray them as. They just wish to lives their lives as all are entitled to; maybe my goodwill will ensure this message is not obscured.

"Now Vodon, there are many things for you to do. But in future... you must have faith in me. There is a better way," he says, with much meaning.

Jelena nods, agreeing with Dooku concerning his first lines. She wonders what Dooku might be implying with his second piece.

"Can I expect the craft that the Senatorial delegation arrived in will be refueled and the men surrounding it removed?" Jelena asks. "I am a little loathe to allow Senator Nebb and his ilk to ride with us."

Yes indeed, all will be released... and so the situation will end peacefully! Iffa's weapons will not be needed- though if it had gone pear-shaped they would have been- and though you never quite got what Nebb was up to, you stopped him doing any more of it.

That IS a relief...

Jelena can depart feeling confident in her negotiating skills, even though really it was Dooku that resolved the issue totally. She contemplates how things would have gone had she been taken hostage.

Before she leaves Vodon's place, she tells Dooku that if he needs any assistance with his efforts, Jelena will gladly help.

Dooku will see you all off, actually, if anyone has anything to say. He wants to make sure you leave without incident; the crowds will take some while to calm down.

"It's a sad day, I know, but they won't listen to a Jedi as they would have done in the past."

"Technically, they still are," Jelena says with a smile. "I know you've left the Order, but you're obviously still looking out for the weak and the helpless. As a Jedi should."

Would Dooku know Vera-Kin from their careers as Masters?

Indeed he knows of you.

He also smiles when he sees Denz, whom he has met before.

"We must stop meeting in times of trouble!" he comments.

Gallagher is not sure what to make of Dooku's presence, so he will be the one to inform the Senator what is going on.

"Our team leaders have negotiated your release," Gallagher explains, "with the assistance of Count Dooku."

Well done Jelena!

Roan will also thank Dooku, but also ask him what he is doing out on this planet, excessively politely.
He does appreciate his influence, but this whole instance leaves a bit of a bad taste in his mouth, with Sienar's plan apparently coming to fruition, the intrusion of Nebb, and everything else.

He's doing what he said- he hrred over at once when he heard the news. He has a very fast ship for such purposes.

"Indeed we must. It is nice to see you again, Count." Denzral will smile and offer a half bow, yet more nod.

(I believe he also met Jovan, Ush.)

Vera-Kin will offer the Count a bow.

"Refreshing to see someone who has strayed from the Order as well," Vera-Kin says. "I've not left it, of course... but you're probably accomplishing more out here on your own."

"But still doing the will of the Council, I see?" says Dooku. "Rescuing the likes of Nebb has a moral imperative behind it, I know, but the Council is entrapped by a Senate that no linger benefits the people they purport to represent. It needs a complete break if you want to be free of that corruption."

Time for you guys to report in to the Council! Anything to say?

Jelena will simply report events... though she will also report the unusual activity that Nebb perpetrated onboard the ship, assuming she's informed about it.

She also asks the Council to pass on Dooku's message to the Chancellor. She asks them what they make of Dooku's involvement.

Yes, they have already received advance notice of Nebb's complaints. He could be trouble.

Dooku is aligning himself with all manner of miscontents; it's his pattern of late. But the Nebb thing could have been a far greater issue. Things like this may happen again, and they need you guys to be more careful.

They inform/remind you that the entire Lamella sector is the subject of a giant anti-corruption investigation (which is why Ascar's apprentice used a moon there as a hideaway in the first campaign- the legal complications caused by the investigation mean that Republican officials, including Jedi cannot enter without sinking the case) and Nebb is after any weapon he can use against the Jedi to make that investigation more difficult. The Lamellans have long been trying to make it seem personal from us- even a racial thing; there has been no Lamellan Jedi in millennia.
