USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE V (LIGHT SIDE)- Harmony

I think we're mainly just dealing with Senator Nebb's arrogance here. He is a corrupt politician who thinks way too highly of himself, but has the power to make problems for us.

What can he do, make the Council ask for our Jedi badges and lightsabers and kick us off the squad? Vera-Kin despises politicians like Nebb.

"Our sincerest apologies to the Senator," Vera-Kin says. "Rest assured, the Senator has been sent a great number of Jedi protectors! Anyone of lesser status likely would not have received so many guardians. We're doing everything we can."

Pissing off the Senate enough can indeed get your characters fired. It would certainly destroy any chance of you getting back in with the Order.

Still, Nebb is not normally so openly confrontational- he's not a Neimodian. His normal tactic is obstructionism; legally getting in your way at all points (he is, after all, a lawyer).

Well, Nebb is not happy but for now he's leaving it at that.

(Andro is finding that being a renegade is seeming more attractive all the time.)

Still bristling at being called a messenger boy, Andro leaves Nebb to his... whatever. Politicians were always trouble, there were no exception, but this partiular example seems to have the largest share of irritating he had even come across.
Looking to find something to distract himself with he decides to make a search of the ship, a security sweep.

(Andro will use his meager fix it skills to head down to engineering and see if he can detect and tampering or out of place components.)

Do you have Observation?

One thing you do remember about Nebb, Andro- he was entirely against legislation related to charity work, taking the point of view that such work was not the matter of the state (i.e. the Lamellans had no intention of paying into any such scheme).

Until Sienar proposed the Mandragos Committee to control such funds. Then Nebb signed right up.

You've not heard of any major plan to stop that famine yet.

(Observation 3. And I guess we better try to figure out Nebb's motivations here, he's gaining something from being on this planet. What?)

sorry for not being able to post, been insanely busy 🙁

Just help me out here:
why do we keep on talking to him? If we can brush him off, get his comm broken or whatever so he's not causing any trouble?
We're getting deeper and deeper into the shit simply by talking to him in a normal manner

Then you are sure the ship is clean, Andro.

Can we set up a listen - in to the comms, then leave Nebb to his own devices? If he uses the comms again we might get more clues.

That'll be a bunch of Fix-It!

Not the only one mate, I have had my share of busy too... and it is likely to continue.

I agree there, but.. can I take power from the coms and shunt it into sensors or something so he can't use the coms anymore?

Yes, you could use Fix-It to ensure the comms don't work.

Really just waiting on Roan and Jelena!

Iffa- you are nearing the ship, but there's an issue. Enemy guards have moved in to surround it, and they are keeping a close watch everywhere, including patrol boats.

Denz will do it if he can, but only try and restrict com access to the bridge, if not then cut it off completely.

The guards outside will cause a problem...

If Denz can heat up the sensors, what kind of information can he get on the patrol boats. After the com thing.

Fix-it: 3

You haven't noticed said boats

Fair enough... we have comlinks Iffa can tell us when he's ready in that case.

Ignore the sensors part then.

Well right now he's swimming and comms are not easy.

Not easy but not impossible - Iffa will communicate said information. How many guards are on a patrol boat?

Three on each.

Time warning!

These stories are finishing very soon, and I'll need Jelena and Roan's final play before that or it was all failed!

The game is a failure if we hand over the Senator, yes?

That's really all Jelena has in her arsenal, since these people are desperate and, in all honesty, she'd rather have the Senator in their custody than initiate a war.

She also doesn't have much to offer them besides the Chancellor's word, and they won't accept it.
