Well, in absence of anyone else giving it a go... it is Xeth's turn again! The Atrii cry loudly and look at him expectantly.

"Oh, decades ago," says Ascar. "I travelled with smugglers and distant merchants from many far-off worlds, only barely associated with the Republic. They told me of this place of dead cities that they stayed away from. I came as an archaeological curiosity. Finding the Atrii was unexpected. Ah, here we are..."

The leader has stopped in a distant chamber.

Gallagher, you turn on your lightsabre. You are deep inside very deep. In fact, the corridor you are looking down now ends in a rockslide that has sealed off everything beyond. You think that corridor is as far back as it goes.

This is when Vera finds you.

Xeth takes a few deep breaths to prepare himself. As he does this, he tries his hardest to focus on the ceiling, to keep track of where it is. Then, he makes his leap. When starts to lose sense of direction, he focuses as hard as he can on the ceiling and tries to push himself in that direction

Jelena will pause a moment from her social investigating to prepare herself to catch Xeth as he tries to perform the trick.

Vera-Kin comes to a halt when she realizes that Gallagher is there, his lightsaber ignited, and his Padawan behind him.

"What are you doing here?" she asks, igniting her own lightsabers to provide greater light.

"I was following my senses... but apparently in error," Gallagher says. "Unless the Force wanted me to find you wandering as deep in the caves as I am. What are you doing here?"

Are there any mosaics this far back?

"I think not," Vera-Kin says. "I was looking for Ascar. He disappeared on me, I found it unnerving. Have you seen him?"

Vera-Kin will also look around. If her senses brought her here instead of to Ascar, and Gallagher's lured him here, there must be a reason.

Yes, Gallagher- there is one at the very end.

Ok, Xeth, once more you leap... and once more you find you have lost your sense of... anything... time to come crashing down!

"Oh, Ascar was with Roan," Gallagher says. "I do not think Ascar will try to dupe us, to be honest. For all his past manipulations, I feel he is being straight with us. In his own way."

Gallagher will move toward the final mosaic, explaining the mosaics to Vera-Kin as he goes.

"The Atrii apparently create these mosaics out of gemstones to commemorate major events in their history, as reference points. There is one of us chasing the merongams and the raptors in the jungle."

Gallagher will raise his lightsaber as he steps up to the final mosaic.

Vera-Kin will follow Gallagher.

"Perhaps we needed to see one in particular. Did you see Ascar's last visit?"

You look at the final- or first- mosaic.

You see the end of the world.

A force roll from Xeth!

Err... you TRY to stabilise yourself... then your Intuition tells you a wall is coming at you. Athletics roll to not smash into it... passed!

Oh- you thought you were stopping yourself smashing into a wall. But actually, you seem now to be lying on the ground?

Jelena- you see Xeth fall to the ground again, though he makes a better landing of it.

But just for a second there... he fell sideways.

Gallagher is taken aback by what he sees.

What does the mosaic actually show, content-wise?

It shows everyone dying. A vision of the apocalypse.

Meaning that this mosaic shows the future... How are they dying?

Yes!

Xeth will get up and immediately get back in line, knowing that with practice he will be getting the hang of it, and hopefully be able to do it without the use of the drugs.

But you know the mosaics are a record, not a prediction.

Well, that's the thing. There is no cause. There's no volcano, no fire, no tidal wave. The planet is not exploding. No invaders, no monsters. Not even a symbolic representation of disease or famine.

They are just dying.

Xeth is very keen!

He just walked into a drum, but still keen!

When Xeth walks into the drum on his way back to get in line, he will pump both fists up in the air and shout "Woooo!" to the Atrii, to show he's still good.

That scares them a bit, as it comes out in your native language, so it sounds more like you are about to eat them.
