Relle admires Kai's intellect though she is probably considered one of the bullying types.

"We're not so heartless as to rid ourselves of you if you gave us those plans," Relle says. "Those who help us succeed should be rewarded."

If only I had Seduction.

"Certain of it," says Kai. "My position is just good business. I'd expect any of you to do the same. And it means none of the... rougher types around here can just kill me off."

Nothing odd on the scan.

I'll have to ask you to pick one at a time, Azarl.

Chunn, then. I want to see how much of a monster we're working with.

Chun likes to kill things. He;'s impatient because he hasn't got to kill things yet.

"How do you kill things?"

Meanwhile, Gallador will ask Ranto how he came to this prison.

He already told Rand that. He made his annoying noise in the Emperor's face by accident.

Oh right. Then I would like to ask Det Darvaad what kind of murdering he was doing before getting here.

Or you could examine the stone you've been asking about for awhile 😛

Oh, that as well...

"This is just a stone, useless for us. Really."

Says Gallador after examining the stone.

I think we decided not to take Det Dravaad.

He's on the page 120 list- was there a more recent one?

Rand and Gallador wanted Det instead ... of the other one whose name I forgot. There was no objection...not from me cause I didn't care...nor from you guys, I guess cause you didn't notice?

Oh, I totally misread it. Yeah, cool, we do have Det.

Could Con perhaps also investigate the stone, he doesn't have nearly as good Jedi Lore of course, but he doesn't necessarily think Gallador would tell the truth if he knew something.

Stone of mistrust!

Is Gallador handing it over?

"The type where people are dead at the end of it," Det says.

Ok, time for the prep rolls!

Con, Rianna and Relle have been combing the area for suitable scrap metal to jam the door. They've found what they need- a wide girder designed to hold up parts of the mine in an emergency structural crisis. Not so large as to make it too awkward to Lift, but it should hold against the door- at least long enough to get you through.

You also have found a decent strip of metal to act as a bridge, but it is imperfect; only two at a time could get across it and there is no means of fixing it down, so it could be removed if the guards get hold of it.

Those of you working on improvising have concentrated on shields, to which you have a success. I'll ask one division- do you want large, pavisse style shields, which will be more of a hassle to move with but give extra protection if you chose not to attack in a round, or lighter shields with no such option but less weight?

I vote heavy shields. That way our non-combatants can get the extra protection they need.

Do they require a certain Strength to carry? I'm guessing the pool penalty is steeper.

Heavy shields sounds better.
