Hmm. I don't necessarily agree, but okay. However, I think we'll play nice for now.
Why not? What exactly could you do? The army answers to them, and they control the doors. There's literally nothing you could possibly do about it. Your normal schtick of bullying doesn't work because you cannot do it without them. Lacking that, what's left?

"What none of you has been asking," says Kai, "is what you are going to do after you get through the doors."
"I admit I have not been able to plan that far ahead," Rand says. "We intend to find out what became of Kuylen, so likely we will follow him. The specifics have not been laid out, but we feel very strongly that there will be equipment or something on Red that will help us with our goal."
Kai is starting to remind me of Doon.
"Nah, you're thinking straight. You think it;s over once you are through those doors?
"Three problems, each larger than the one before. First- that door is guarded on the far side also. Secondly, your plan to hit them during changing shifts has its advantages- but it means the shift just leaving will be right behind those doors also.
"Thirdly, and most importantly... do you have any idea where the hell you are going to go up there? Do you think they'll help you? You don't magically get the keys to the kingdom for getting up there. It's not a a challenge you've won. You'll still be hunted men, and there are hundreds of them up there. You'll be lost, weary, wounded and surrounded by people who want you dead."

"Hiding just delays the inevitable. No-one up there will listen to you- what would be in it for them? They are already on Red; why join the side being hunted?"Do you even know where Kayda is?"
"Well, do you perhaps have knowledge on this matter yourself?"
Gallador remained silent during the last exchange, not overtly joining Rand's threats.
"Well, it seems Xavier is reasonable, perhaps there was no need to treat him like this. But it is good that we all understand the situation we are in....Now Rand, would you let me examine the stone first as intented? As a leader, you are more busy with preparations than I am."
