Well, Rianna will let the others look at it, see if anyone can make any sense of it.

Perhaps someone with great observation who should have looked at it to begin with 😗

Though, can we do that, Ush? I mean we only had one thing to choose...would this take less time?

Looking at the map takes seconds; it's not significantly time dependant.

And will these stange symbols mean anything to Gallador or Rand?

Perhaps what Kuylen sought was related to Syphar`N Kalar...

Is it possible that Kai knows more than Kayda? According to Kayda, how much interaction was between Kai and Kuylen?

I'll give everyone one take on what they think the map might be. Gallador's is no good; he cannot make sense of it.

Kai knows nothing mor-e he;s just an opportunist.

Is there anyway using observation that Rah can determine if when the map is folded in a certain way, along some of the existing creases that it will reveal either a message, or change the picture to show a specific route to what Kuylen was looking for?

Secret map preparation technique? Sadly, not that you can see, no.

Rand wants to theorize that it is a map that leads to something that Kuylen is looking for, but it would strange for him to have left the map behind unless he knew we were coming (visions and the like).

Xavier will take a look at the map and see if he can do anything with it.

Need an idea Xavier, else you get nothing.

A map would generally be useless if it did not contain something you wanted, Rand. Still, the problem is that you are all thinking far too grand.

The fact is, you are not here to solve a giant mystery about whys and hows. You are just here to find Kuylen, and in that respect you have to follow his trail. You can speculate until the cows come home about a Death Star being hidden on black; you have o information so that's all useless. But there are logical, reasonable ideas you can follow through on about what Kuylen was doing.

Kuylen was a practical man.

Well do we still have the Geologist guy with us?

Since we do know polar North is marked Xavier would like to look at any points on the map that seem to be highlighted like a route or seem to be prominent features on it like mountains or where they possibly intersect.

And he would like whats his name Almir to look at it with him to see if he notices any geological things that stick out to him.

Also trying to see if there is a map legend on it as well.

As to route's Kuylen would take we could probaby figure out where he entered through Green from people, and ush would Kuylen try to stick to the most dirct route but would also keep him from having to fight the most people like narrow passes and such?

"I'm a geologist," says Almir, "not a geographer... OH! Wait. Right, yes. This is a geological survey map."

(score one for Xavier...)

And Boom Xavier is still more useful then Con even crippled 😄

"Good at least that's something, Is there anything else you can discern from the map, like what or where it is they were trying to survey?"

You win this round uhuh

"Well..." says Almir. "It's a deep rock survey, testing how far they could push the mining exploitation of this world on grounds of both stability and value. They never went that deep in the end, but the survey was completed."

"Is there anything odd that sticks out to you?"

"Well, the lead guy signed it..." says Almir, pointing to a tiny corner where a scrawl is virtually overwritten by a survey line.

"Nothing odd, no. Were you after something?"

"I found this in Kuylen's stuff," Rianna says. "He wouldn't have had it for no reason."

"If you say so!"

"Kuylen might have been looking for something. Exactly how is a deep rock survey done? And did they find anything down there like minerals even ones that wouldn't seem valuable enough to mine for?"
