Rand will move toward one of the wide exits from the room, picking at random, the need to get away from this creature the most important thing at the moment.

That said, you are still uneasy. This must ba a pretty special life form- this big and with no air. You've heard stories about such things- giant worms living out in space on asteroids, that sort of thing. It might be hard to sense properly until you are used to it.
