Damm, Gallador will call to others to help look for the map near the flare.

Dak will help with trying to find the map.

Galder will palm his face before trying to find the map.

Well, that means climbing inside its mouth...

Oh. Joy.

What sort of a mouth is it?

Also, can we do a quick check to make sure this thing is very most likely probably definitely dead?

Giant multi-teethed mouth of doom!

Well... how could you tell?

Pull out its teeth! Use them as weapons!

could one of the forcey ones not just take hold of the map and will it them?

It's a bit caught up in there, and without being able to see it that's pretty difficult- you could easily tear it to pieces if it gets caught on anything.

Edana notices the change in the Seer's mood.

"What's wrong?" she says as she peers over the edge of the crevasse.

Pretty gloomy down there- but you sense it goes down a LONG way/

"Do you know anything about the native life on his planet?" she asks/

"Not in the slightest" Edana turns to the seer. "Although I assume you are about to tell me there is something living down here".

"Hmm," she says. "I thought the interior of this world was lifeless."

She starts getting out her stones from her pockets and puts them on the ground around her.

"I think your colleague Galder is in danger. And the others."

"In danger? Is that all you've got? Unless you can tell me where or from what there is really very little I can do for them. And if you think I am going down there blind you can think again."

"There's no need," she says. "I made arrangements to help them already."

She drops the remaining stones and they clatter around her. At the moment she does so, you get an instinctive feel about there being something slightly odd about the way she dropped them. It's almost imperceptible, but she did not just outright drop them out of her hand. She was dropping them in a certain way, almost as if guided. Hard to work out how or why.

"Do you think you would recognise Galder's mind if you sensed it again?"

"Possibly. It's been a long time. But I guess I could give it a shot."

"Good," she says. "I'll need to double check that I am helping the right people."

She looks down at the stones beneath her.

"They should get out alive," she comments.

Rah is probably the most agile of the group, perhaps he should be the one to climb down in to the creatures mouth to get it. Would be nice if we could tie something around him to help him climb back up afterwards.

You know her mentioning she has already made arrangements to help us makes me feel like this could be the point where the stone could be helpful maybe.

Good thing we still know absolutely nothing about the stone. I wouldn't go throwing it around in the dark, though. You won't find it again. Not easily, anyway.

Could the Forcies sense where the map is or should we light another flare so that we can find it and have it read?
