Hiding in a wagon or something like that would be difficult because first we'd have to procure something like that without it being noticed (which isn't likely), assuming that anything like that is around anyway.

The smaller amount of time you spend fighting without your sabres, the better.

Ideally it is virtually no time at all, and your big move is made AT the throne room.

That's also assuming they'd allow us to bring anything like that in, Rah.

Though in that vein, do we know of anything being brought into the Emperor's Palace? Crates that we could hide in?

This is why I was suggesting that a smaller group of, let's say, two people sneaks towards throne room, because I do not think all of us can sneak inside the palace.

Yes, if few of us that can lie/disguise well could dress as maintenance people who have something like big crates with equipment or spare parts with them, in which the rest can hide - this would be the best.

I guess you guys could Mind Trick them into not checking the crates but I have a feeling it'll be hard to bring in huge crates full of 10+ people.

You know I have an idea.

Is there anyway someone in a ship could track us through sewers using our comms or something like that?

We could use them to guide us to the Palace from over head, or something like that. Then we could use the Force to get us under the throne room.

Use Edna's lightsaber to make some holes underneath then fill them some explosives to make a nice hole in the floor for us to get into the throne room.

Just a plan a thought up.

The sewers do not connect to the palace, as has been pointed out a couple of times now 😛

Might be that we still use the sewers to get close to the Palace, to avoid taking our group through the streets.

Is Gallador's/Rah's trojan horse idea feasible, Ush? Mind Tricks and Gallador's Subterfuge might create enough bullshit for us to get close without a problem.

Perhaps they're there to update the Emperor's broadcasting equipment for his next broadcast.

Sure, we can go with the crates thing. The more info you give me on what they are meant to contain the better, for straight RPing detail if nothing else.

Testing equipment to make sure everything is working, updated gear to make the signal stronger and clearer, new parts to replace anything that needs to be replaced, and lots of it.

Any other ideas for what is in the crates would be great.

Gallador could blag/mind trick the guards into thinking the crates contain a special delivery for Rivas' speech, something he plans to unveil to all his people, and that if not taken to him immediately they'll no doubt end up with a wee trip to Datura!

Rah has fix-it so I'm sure he can rig the crates to be easy to open from the inside and when we're close to the throne room, he could give us a signal. We then emerge and start killing our way to our sabres!

I'm certainly picturing having Gallador use Illusion to show the guards a plethora of technological junk inside the crates that isn't actually there...

I'd be wary of tying it too closely to anything directly for the Emperor as that is more likely to involve close checks.

Maybe general diagnostics equipment for any comms in the Palace?

Technically I can't see that being in crates large enough to fit people in, but this is Star Wars and not World of Darkness so sod it. Just give the equipment a techno-sounding name.
