USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE V (DARK SIDE)- The Prisoner of Datura

Yeah, it's all pretty much in the throne room.

Perfect.

So let's go with that.

Ok, and how are you getting there and when?

We are taking our ships, I presume. Would they recognize Xavier's ship?

And I assume as soon as possible, once we're all rested and have confirmed support from our Allies/Ties.

Maybe but we'll assume you do it fast enough not to give immediate alert.

How you get into the throne room is more what I was thinking.

When we emerge from the sewers, we should find lifts that will take us all the way up to the throne room. We can have someone with Fix-It hack into the lifts so that nobody can stop them ascending externally, if they figure out that we're here.

When does not really matter if we are going to turn the equipment on ourselves, if that is what you mean.

As for the explosives, perhaps some of our contacts could put us in touch with weapons dealers from which we can buy sufficiently-sized bombs.

It might be better to use the bombs to cover our escape.

Ok, now, this is assuming the sewers have entrances directly into the palace?

Generally speaking that would mean climbing up the u-bend, I think.

Contacts don't give you OTHER contacts. If you had taken Contacts with Arms Dealers, you'd be laughing. The closest you have are our own guys, Rand, and they are very precise people; they would only use tiny bombs for blowing locks and the like.

Edana could possibly use her lightsaber to cut our way through the sewers up to the bottom floor.

I am assuming that making our own bombs would involve Sabotage.

Indeed! And even then I'd rule out large ones without means of getting the materials; Sabotage would mainly help you place them correctly.

Kind of surprising. Of all the things we are capable of doing, we are not good at blowing up large things.

The explosives part of the plan will have to be abandoned.

How about poisonous gas that we could flood the Palace with during our escape? Just to waylay any effort to capture us.

And where do you get that from?

Without relevant contacts, you have no access to specialised weapnry at all.

What about AK? We have purchased from him before many times.

Also, since I forgot, Rand will place a call to Zorin on Gonderkorro to see if he can lend any assistance in this matter.

And Rand will have a vibro-axe with him when they move for Selene.

AK can be anywhere in the galaxy, so in this case I'd have to rule him out on time grounds.

Not to mention cost! You are not overflowing with cash.

Contacting Gonderkorro is hazardous- the Bureau have one of their listening beacons in that area. Zorin will keep your visual shows under wraps but he can't deal with the electronic stuff.

But in any case, he'd just laugh...

Worth asking. No worries. We will proceed without the explosives with the rest of the plan. It should suffice.

Is climbing the u-bend plausible?

I think Gallador can lie that we are performing some mainteanance work with the Palace's waste utilization system.

Climbing the u-bend refers to climbing out of a toilet. I think we're all a bit big for that.

Indeed. The point being there is no direct access from the sewers into the palace proper (or if there was some unusual link, you have no way of knowing it).

I imagine there'd be some sort of maintenance access. We could cut out of the pipe and take that maybe?

Not from inside the palace to the sewers; maintenance workers get in from the streets.

Hmm, not wanting to complain, especially as I know I don't get chance to contribute as much as others here but I'm a little concerned as to the fact that when I do contribute my suggestions have been blatantly ignored. I don't have a problem if my ideas get discounted as not suitable but to be ignored is just plain rude!
