"We have a gift for the Emperor from the Guild of Agania, let us through." Demands Gallador, trying to radiate an aura of confidence all around.

"All gifts for the Emperor are handled by his personal guard," he says.

Gallador and Rand wear guard uniforms, so they really shouldn`t be questioned alll the time.

Guard uniforms yes- but something about them very much distinguishes them from the personal guard, and that's why they stopped you.

"I'll check with the commander," he says, going for his comms.

"You don't need to check with the commander," Rand insists, waving his hand subtly. "He's already given us clearance to pass."

(Spend a point on Persuade, please.)

That will get you past him, but every guard group between here and there will stop you as it stands.

Hmm. I don't feel like wasting all my points on that.

Could Rand try to use the power of Leadership to exert dominance over this man, while also Lying that they've already received clearance from the commander?

The guard has to be told about the clearance so that can't be lied about.

Although you will need to bypass this guy somehow, if you want to get through the others without hassle you need to suss why they clocked you as just standard guards.

Observation check. Are these guards wearing anything different from our newly acquired uniforms?

Nope- but then these guards aren't his personal guard.

Relle will keep egging the fight on until she is satisfied that things are getting messy and the guards are distracted.

"Go for the cases," Relle says to Rianna and Dak. "I'll handle this."

Are the guards sufficiently distracted that Relle could slip a gun off of one?

Possible but a noticeably difficult Intrusion roll.

Rand wants to try figuring out what part of their uniform is missing that they don't look like personal guards. It probably has to do with their staffs being a sign of status since Rivas trained them all in that, unless I'm thinking of the wrong group.

What will happen if he contacts the commander and the commander says nothing like that happened? Is the jig up?

Actually you are thinking of the right group and you virtually have it so I'll hand it over.

Your stolen uniforms have gun holsters. No-one with a gun gets near the Emperor or carries his gifts to his chamber- his own guards carry only melee weapons.

Relle has a pretty high Intrusion pool. She should probably get them fighting before she tries that.

So she'll keep egging on the fight for now.

"Knock his block off!" Relle shouts at the guy she pushed. "Show him he can't just shove you around like that!"

Maybe you could Trick your way past these guys, Rand, then you two can ditch your gun holsters so that the next group doesn't bother you as much.
