'Land' might be overstating it. If you go in fast enough to avoid fire, you are too fast to land safely.

How well can the speeders stand up to gunfire? Not going to explode immediately upon being hit, I'm assuming.

No.

They'll start to crash almost immediately though.

Is there anyway to cut the power to those gun placements?

Maybe that could be a job for team spidey?

The guns are self-powered I am afraid. Treat them like machine guns. They aren't massive killer anti-tank guns or the like.

Possibly fairly easily destroyed, though? As I'm remembering the turrets that had been set up on Epireus when we were enacting our vengeance on Doon, and how Rianna fairly tore through those without much trouble...

I suppose we could wait in line 😛 Speeders could be distractions while we take out a few of the towers, maybe.

Cool. I kind of got a bit of an idea that we were overestimating just how difficult to deal with they would be. And assuming that they're just mook guards (which most of them will be I'm sure), it'll only be the number of them that'll be troublesome.

So...yeah. I can't really see any way of us getting there easily without simply waiting in line...

But if the speeder people can do some crazy evasive flying to distract the turrets (without getting hit, hopefully), then we can probably take them out very quickly. Then they can land pretty safely and we can go on a killing spree.

That's reducing the number of people fighting in then field. It's not sensible- every other guard will be firing at you.

So the turrets should be something that the speeder group handles, is what I'm getting from this. They wouldn't be shooting at us immediately if Rianna and Dak and Relle were chopping people up on the dais already.

What if Team Spidey jumps up to take out the tower guards but everyone else in the speeders disgorges into the crowd, minus the pilots? That puts three people on the ground to handle guards until the speeders land. I'm sure they wouldn't mind leaping into the crowd out of a high-speed vehicle...

Team spidey is going to be in a pitched battle before they jump onto the towers. I'll put them in against the entire guard army if you want, but you'll feel pretty foolish for splitting the team.

That... would be bad.

The whole point of your access plan was to get everyone into the battle at the same time.

Uh, no thanks on that one.

And our plan would have gotten everyone into the battle at the same time if not for those damned towers.

Hmmm.

What if we just redraw team spidey and fly in?

perhaps we should ditch the speeders as soon as we are overhead, the flyign team can just leap out of it, and we'd be flying fast enough to dodge the turrets, but too fast to land, BUT we wouldn't need to land if we decide we would surrender there
