"Sounds like it will be more difficult now that Rand's blown it," Galder says to Rah. "We need to figure out some way to impress the Reds, I guess, or figure out how to get up there against their will. I have a feeling that Kayda might be willing to work with us, but I'm not sure.
"Does Kayda extend that offer of 'kill Forcies and get a free Red pass,' Almir?" Galder asks the geologist.
"I have an idea!" muses Rah. "Rand is the only one of us who has shown his cards, the only one who cannot deny force ability;" He pauses for a slight dramatic effect, "how about we pretend to be a band of toughs and acts as if we've 'captured' Rand and use him as a key to get into Red, then when we're in we'll reveal true ourselves and tear the nerf herders apart..." He grins manically.
Turning on ourselves is not going to help anyway; if we ever needed to act more as a group, it is now.
Perhaps we could fake it, in the vein of Kuylen. Convince some thugs on here on the green level to claim to have killed us so that they can get onto the red, they somehow sneak up to the red when they get let in.
Galder throws up his arms.
"Oh come ON, seriously?" Galder says, turning away from the fleeing Almir and toward the large group of prisoners that have arrived. He steps back so that he stays near Rand, ready to protect him. "You all want a go at us too then, is that right?"
Galder will count how many there are, and hope that the others follow his example by staying near those incapable of truly defending themselves via hand-to-hand.
Rianna, go to Azarl. Relle, to Gallador. Everyone else, group up.
There is roughly the same proportion as before- four for each of you.
But this time, there are some that stand out amongst them also. Like their leader; a large alien covered in natural carapace and spikes. Many more of them are armed also; some with the improvised axes that Almir spoke of.
"We hear that you people are... special..." spits out the alien leader.
Any chance those axes hit hard enough for a * rating? Could help those who more or less fail at combat.
Galder also has a strong feeling punching the alien with the spikes will be a tremendously bad idea. He draws his knife and sharpens it against one metal finger on his left hand.
"I suppose you could say that," Galder says. "I also know why that would interest you. I can also tell you that what you're thinking right now is a terrible idea."
Rand will stay near Galder, though Rand is of mind to avoid a fight if possible. It would be different if they had their lightsabers; if that were the case, Rand is positive they could eventually kill everyone down here in no time at all, if they kept coming in these stupid groups.
Without them, it was different. If they kept getting into fights, eventually they would perish from exhaustion, if not from being murdered. He considered how easy it was to kill with a lightsaber in comparison to trying to punch someone to death.
"I will second that," Rand says. "You don't have to get to the Red Level this way. It was taken by storm once before, was it not?"
Could Rand pull an axe away from someone if it starts to look like a fight?
