Mainly because of the fake trailers made most likely to decieve. One such as:YouTube video

This is pretty much what I meant. If I'm misunderstanding the intended meaning of "all flash but no substance" then sorry. byez now.

you honestly thought that was supposed to be a gameplay trailer?

Wow, this thread kinda got derailed quick...

Heavy Rain (As great as the game is, it's an interactive film, gameplay substance is limited)

I consider Heavy Rain to be a darker, videogame version of Choose your own Adventure. I have yet to see an "interactive movie" that allows the number of choices as in Heavy Rain.

I think some people are misinterpreting what the thread means.

It's not what game you don't like, but what game has nice graphics but no game play.

One comes to mind is: Mirrors Edge. Great art design, and style but game play is shallow.

In my mind, Halo and Gears of War are not shallow but full experiences. Bioshock also.

hell YES. star wars is an ugly universe, all desert and geeky tech{and not in a good way like the way the new gods are geeky etc}. the races are bland and uninteresting, infact the design of everything from the storm troopers to the jedi is boring. the older designs of final fantasy 6 and 9 were a lot better/colourful/original, worlds/music/feel/races n all.

Good job showing your ignorance of Star Wars.

That's exactly what I thought.

Rise of the Robots.

That's a gam that's all graphics and no gameplay.

You all fail.

There's way more substance to the gameplay of Gears and Bioshock. Same for story in the latter.
