If he wanted to, he could have done it the other way arround, removing death/oblivion and letting eternity/infinty rule unchallenged. LT was absorbed too, does that mean death is above LT?

Yes eternity is one and all, all the big abstracts are. They exist in every single conceivable reality that was, is or will be - x-men forever IIRC.

But when their avatars interact with people its usually the representation of a single universe not of the whole omniverse. If a universe is destroyed, then 'that particular eternity' is destroyed, but there are other universes. I believe the principle applies to all of them. The representations of chaos and order in the whole omniverse not just in 616, etc.
