STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- The White Tower of Halloy

"Soapy, plug in and see if you can find corresponding footage to what we found in the hangers, or missing footage that matches up?"

Soapy jacks in to the security mainframe and begins searching.

"What is the droid looking for?" Crutch asks.

I don't actually remember it has been a while. I don't remember my plan.

"A missing link."

I suggest reading back as much as you are able.

"How vague," Crutch responds, when Soapy pipes up. He reports being unable to find anything about the film you lifted other than the docking bay it came from, which he already had. The film matches that in the mainframe. It comes up on a screen.

"That's one of the King's hangars," Crutch says. "What are you looking for there?"

"Why is this footage in a loop?" Denzral asked ignoring Crutches question.

There's only one possible reason for that.

I know this however Denz is asking Crutch.

"I don't know," Crutch says. "Someone must've edited it."

"But this is supposed to be recorded from a live feed no?" Denzral turned to Crutch. "Soapy get me a live feed from the hanger right now, please." Denzral walked over to Crutch moving to place a hand on his shoulder, standing beside him facing the opposite direction. "Any ideas who could edit this footage other than you my good man?" Denzral try's to pick up the mans emotions through the Force.

"I don't know," Crutch says. "We must have a saboteur on our hands." You sense apathy. He's rather blank, emotionally.

Soapy shows you the hangar, which is empty. There is no looping now.

Empty as in no ships? Were there ships there when I was in there? "Soapy rewind the feed back till there are any changes in the footage or edits."

You never visited that hangar. You visited another.

Soapy should do what I asked. The fact that crutch didn't show any emotional changes means he is not even surprised by the changes in the footage. Pehaps he has always been aware of the edits. Even performed all the edits recently himself. "Soapy does the system you are connected to have any footage editing software, if it does bring up the program and check the back log for any recently changed footage or recently deleted files, there are always trace amounts of data left behind. Or a time and date record or recently edited data." I'll search Crutch's feelings again.

Soapy does as you ask. The looping stops early this morning. If given time he may find more. He will start checking the security tapes in detail.

Nothing from Crutch. At all. Devoid of emotion. It doesn't feel right.

I'd like to make a perception check of my surroundings? Can I sense the Darkness around Crutch? Does everybody in the room feel the same as Crutch?

The security station- people seated at computer consoles, banks of screens, cameras, and so on.

No, you can sense the emotions of the others in the room. He is just muted for some reason.

I will remind you that "The Darkness" was simply symbolism from your Dream.

I see, thank you for that clarification. I will move be prepared for combat, beyond that, I will wait patiently.

Soapy needs a lot of time to work on this. It would be a waste of your own time to just stand around waiting for something to happen.

Crutch does notice when you tense up in anticipation of combat (which you have no reason to do; you do not sense danger).

"Is there a problem, Master Jedi?" Crutch asks. "I understand evidence of a saboteur is disturbing but you hardly need to ready yourself for action."

He is very observant, Denz. Abnormally so.

I could leave and go and find that girl (forgotten her name) but I don't want to leave Soapy unprotected within the grasp of Crutch. "Presence of a saboteur does not seem to alarm you in the slightest, almost as if you were aware of this prior. I am uncertain, but sure something like this would cause you to take some form of action."

Soapy can download everything and work on the move.

"I can do nothing about it until I can perform analysis," Crutch says, deadpan. "You are in the way. No use being alarmed and it does not call for martial action."
