STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- The White Tower of Halloy

I was thinking datapad and comlink. Okay I'll casually scout around for an unguarded terminal.

That won't cut it. This is breaking into their security system.

How is your Observation + Perception?

Perception: 4
Observation: 2
Not great in other words.

Better than nothing! On three successes you are able to find a terminal a few floors up on a seemingly empty floor. From here you can patch into the security system, assuming you make the roll.

Okay, I should work out an escape route first. Any open windows? I can hang outside, leap ups a floor and pretend like nothing happened.

Leaping around outside the Tower is very much going to be noticed, no matter how you play it. If you do something considered illegal that warrants arrest and get caught doing it, that's endgame for your investigation; the King will have you locked away and the Republic will need to bail you out.

Intrusion is very necessary for sneaking around doing things the King won't like. It will need a good Intrusion roll to start your work totally unnoticed, and a Fix-It roll to hack the system successfully. Neither will be easy, especially during the day.

Do bear in mind that the King has offered to help you anywhere he can!

I could always go and ask the King to see the lower floors.

That you could!

Then I will.

Back up you go! By now the sun is setting; the discovery of the edited footage was a good one but there is so much more you still need to do.

The King is in his entertainment room when you find him, watching a movie.

"Ah, Master Jedi," he greets. "I trust your investigation goes well?"

Denzral gave a quick bow of greeting. "Not as well as I'd hoped. Aside from discovering evidence of tampering with the security surveillance system here in the tower as I am sure you have been made aware by now, progress is slow. It could take me some time to gather a more solid lead." He motioned towards an empty seat. "May I join you?"

"You may," King Evand says. "What exactly did you discover was tampered with?"

Hey Rexx, can you scratch Denzral's last comment. "King Evand, may I be allowed to see the lower floors of the tower? Especially where People are taken to be (lo-jacked) (location chipped) (coded)."

Can't take back what's been said and responded to, Denzral!

You also have zero evidence that King Evand has people chipped or taken anywhere, aside from the 'unwelcome guests' that he sends off-world for violating the peace of his faux-kingdom. He would likely be very offended if you put it that way; you want to keep him in your corner if you want to unravel any of the mysteries of the White Tower- Lothar Tull claim as a Jedi, what happened to Enah, how Halloy is connected to the raids you stopped...

"The tampered footage was of your private hangers. Did you know of this?"

My apologies- the government DOES chip people, but only for registration and it is done in public offices. What I meant was that implying that it was done inside the Tower was what you had no proof of.

"I was made aware," King Evand says. "Specifically a hangar I have not used recently."

He looks thoughtful.

"This is strange no? It is unlikely to be a computer vault, I have my R4 unit analyzing the footage now. If you have any leads that you'd like me to follow up for you, I am sure I could help?" Denzral looked around the bar area visually. "Where are people who are arrested taken?" He asked as idly as possible.

"I was not aware anything was wrong until you arrived, Jedi," the King says. "I can help you but it is your investigation. Find out what is going on with that hangar.

"They are taken to the White Tower's detention levels... why?"

'Would it be possible to go and investigate the detention level, king?'

"What for?"
