Personally, I would have grabbed Sabertooth if I could have. The higher strength brings a lot more to the table than being slightly more destructible when the healing factor employed is already so ridiculous.
Sabertooth represents a lot more value in an amalgam to me, because well-rounded characters are harder to utilize well than characters that excel in certain areas. Sabertooth is close enough to Wolverine in all other areas, and has a HUGE strength edge, along with his healing factor, et cetera.

I was pondering this morning whether or not I should have drafted Armadillo rather than Cage for Armadillo's greater strength but I wasn't sure about his durability and I really didn't think about him until after the drafts were over.

Yup, not everyone realizes that tourney usefulness isn't the same as total power or even success in vs. battles. Superman, classic example. There are others of course. Half the winners in tourney history do one or two things really well, and the other half were so damn versatile that they could attack each new opponent according to their weakness(es). Different approaches, same result. "Well-rounded" is usually the same as "early loss" unless it's an understatement for "crazy versatile."
Armadillo ftw, btw. I'm stealing him come redrafts.

this, and because imo sabes HAS been shown to be logan's superior often enough. and my opinion this time round, is what counts.
cyke was debated but his powers were deemed easily defended by the right set of characters, ergo he was allowed.
anyway, matches will be posted very shortly.

You know for all the tournys and the people who use my scans I should get a damn award as I did all their hard work for them ๐
I've always been very appreciative of your work. I justify it by knowing that my own stuff has been used a lot too. Not as much as yours, mind you, but still a fair amount. I owe Philosophia this tourney too for making me aware of Boomer. I've since researched him further, but the basic outline was in Phil's thread. DarkCrawler went and swallowed my Spidey thread with his epic masterpiece as well, though I remember the layout of my thread better so I'm using scans from both.
That's kind of the point of the respect forum though. Before it, tourneys were bleak wastelands of embellishments and words, lacking scans entirely. Now they're bleak wastelands of embellishments and words, but with scans.
