Godzilla (2014)

I don't give a phuck about Godzilla as a cultural icon. The MUTO plot was satisfactory, and overall the movie would have been satisfactory....if every single character wasn't an emotionless one dimensional piece of wood. At least the characters in '98 Godzilla were two-dimensional. I've seen more emotive people watching their friends play solitaire than in this movie (besides the awesome bus driver of course).

How much screen time does the big guy is in this film? Are we talking Clover or PR Kaiju?

In the mood watch a giant monster flick.

Godzilla doesn't have massive screen-time but emerges several times in the movie to contend with potential threats, including a major battle near the end with MUTO. In addition, MUTO get some screen-time of their own without involving Godzilla. In the nutshell, movie is well-balanced in depiction of monsters and people.

Sound familiar, Kaz?

Ahhh but I just STATED my opinion. I in no way ridiculed or pointed out flaws (actual or made up) in some one ELSES opinion.

Sooo Chill out bro.
😮‍💨

I see lots of hate for this movie, but i honestly thought it was pretty entertaining. If nothing else it had great use of music. That really brought it to life for me. Although i think Cranston's character should have been in the whole film, he was so good.

Love it or hate it, the movie was a box office success.

And people seemed to like it, as indicated by Rotten Tomatoes.

Personally, what I didn't like was Godzilla seemed to be much smaller than he was in the trailer.
He looked smaller than described.

The sequel(s) will probably be box office hits as well. There's a strong cult following for Mothra and King Ghidorah.

Movie was badass.

You understand that just means the marketing & publicity paid off to get people into the cinemas...it's no reflection on the quality of the movie itself.

Why did the filmmakers think we'd care that much?? I guess I could also deal with that too … it's a Godzilla movie; surely we'll be treated with some awesome action scenes between the two/three monsters throughout! right?
