Gears of War 3

I really hate the spawning in matchmaking. When I was playing a round of CTL, I caught the leader and was dragging him to the side where my team spawns. When I got there, four or five enemies appeared and destroyed me. Not cool, Epic.

I've had that happen in Team deathmatch, you and some of the other folks that are on the team waiting around for some more enemies to show with the announcement "More reinforcements" then you get a couple of them near you

Wait until you encounter the lovely Gunkers. One tip of advice...keep your head down and do not hesitate to let your AI team mates go forward before you.

Oh i've killed some Gunkers, but now i'm stuck at the moment on that bridge part going into Hanover stadium.

Yeah that is what happens when you introduce a gameplay element that wasn't part of the meta game's design. I've fallen victim to it myself. It is very crazy specially in KOTH.

It happened to me in Team Deathmatch. The one moment I remember most was on Overpass. I had a 10 kill spree and was running around the map looking for a flank and avoid getting killed. Turns out the moment I took cover in a room the entire team spawned behind me. I watched them rush at me as I laid fire on them and was pawned. The fricking spawn protection didn't help either.

This is why warzone or execution should be considered the prime game modes for this game. They are clearly the most well balanced.

I agree.

My goodness...

Go to your left, stay around the van where most of the Gunker's...gunk will be blocked. Just keep moving around in that spot, throw some grenades, and never keep your finger off the trigger. That worked for me.

But seriously, that really does suck. Epic needs to patch this or something. This can't be ignored.

Agreed.

If they patched the spawn problems I'd probably be left with no issues with the game (besides the retro)

So what's the problem with the retro? Are you getting killed whenever you charge, are you getting impaled in the back, or are you just complaining that it's the most powerful rifle but it can't shoot straight?

If #1, wait for your target to be distracted by one of your teammates so that way you can charge in without alerting him/her of your presence. Otherwise you're doing nothing but helping them earn a Roadblock medal.

If #2, don't just stand there if you hear someone from behind shouting for there's a 30% chance that shouter is a retro user. Quickly either turn around and blast him with a shotgun or roll to the left or right to get out of his/her way. Also, don't use a chainsaw to counter a retro charge for that never works (believe me I tried).

If #3, get over it.

They should increase the clip size and or give it a better Active Reload.

Hammerbust feels underpowered.

The chainsaw never works to counter the retro charge? 😖

It's been working wonders for me lol!! I've never had it fail yet!

And this. Please. Now.

Well then why do I get impaled when I use the chainsaw?

Hell if I know. Perhaps your chainsaw isn't fully revved?? I honestly don't know. I'm not saying you're lying. I'm just saying it's been working for me every time. Maybe I'm just lucky.

1. Chill out dude, not that serious

2. The "just don't stand there" doesn't work for every situation. Like i'm really just standing there. Wow thanks for the insight. I'll be sure to tell everyone that gets downed by two active retro shots to move next time. Just so you know, I'm not new to gears.

3. If you hold down the right stick the retro fires alot straighter.

4. It's WAY more than 30% using retro. Tdm and KOTH is littered with dudes running around with the retro/sawed-off combo.

5. Calm down, seriously.

The Retro ain't that bad. The Lancer is worse.

In what way?

Much more precise with the easiest active reload; the best perfect reload boost of 25% damage; a gigantic clip and an instant execution move. It ain't OP but it comes close.

From a distance, no it isn't bad. But from mid to close range, it can be pretty bad. Especially if you get the hipfire down on it. I find the lancer is only a problem when everyone on the other team whores it. It can smother your team fast.

Retro sure wrecks shotgunners.
