This isn't about her writing style.It's about what she was contracted for (from Epic). There were obviously talks throughout the process of making the game on what the story will entail, unless you think she wrote the story herself and didn't consult with series creators and didn't read what she wrote and created levels/cutscenes/voice overs/etc without consulting the story.
When she was asked by a fan why she didn't answer any of the major questions posed to us over the course of the first two games, she stated that she did that because she feels that a story is better when it ends vaguely. That was the same answer she gave when asked why she put so much ambiguity in her Star Wars novels. She then went on to say that if people don't like the way she writes they don't have to buy the product.
So obviously, it's all about her writing style. She likes to write stories a certain way; we got a nice fresh taste of that in Gears 3.
I really don't know why you're so fixated on her stories being peer-reviewed. By your logic, no game should ever have bad writing since all games have "consultants, game creators:. Obviously, that's not true.
