he can destroy mountains...big deal, he cant stand up 2 a Brick Break from nido so it doesnt matter...& if we're gonna start reading pages outta the pokedex, nido could finish ty off with a Megahorn; his horn can pierce diamonds, so im sure it could pierce the hide of a tyranitar.

@Bloodrain
I already agreed on the fact that ty could crush mountains, as u can c in my post...

So a hit from that power wont take out Nidoking?

nido is lighter, so he's much quicker. in the time it takes ty 2 lift up 1 of those heavy arms, nido would already KO'd him with his multitude of highly effective moves; Earth Power, Megahorn, Brick Break, & most easily Horn Drill.

Tyranitar destroys Nidoking. Using gameplay, it has attack power on par with Dragonite and above Machamp. Tyranitar takes it out with Earthquake.

If we're going by Pokedex, Tyranitar causes greater destruction.

As for the anime, I've only heard that it was pretty powerful in Pokemon battles though I stopped watching it a long time ago. As for Nidoking, I haven't seen anything impressive from it.

Tyranitar goes underground to move continents, then Nidoking uses Fissure, killing all of the Larvitar and Pupitar nearby as well.

read the first post. no earthquake allowed. this is easily a win 4 nido. much faster + horn pierces diamonds = OHKO. it doesnt matter how strong u r, if u get impaled by that long ass horn u will b finished...

Well then Nidoking wins with Earth Power and Mega Horn.

Tyranitar doesn't need it. Aqua tail, Ice Fang, Dig, Ice beam... all of these can finish of the King.
this is easily a win 4 nido.

Not at all.

Tyranitar's "body can't be harmed by any sort of attack". Nidoking's horn is useless.

Nidoking can't pierce the Tyranitar, and Tyranitar has enough strength in one hand to crumble mountains... Nidoking is ****ed.

OOC how do people figure that these pokemon even know any of these moves?

i mean what are the odds that a wild earth type pokemon could inherently know such a contradictory move as ice beam. 😐

Don't look at me. I only use the moves that they can learn unless the OP says a trainer is involved.

As to answer your post, there's no way unless a Pokemon is smart like Mewtwo and uses a TM on itself. Still there are some cases where a Pokemon should have a certain TM or HM. For example, Machamp can lift a mountain but it never learns Strength.

youre misunderstanding what im saying. that site lists potential moves that the pokemon have access to learning. my point is what dictates which ones they actually know?

for example. a dog can be taught how to shepherd sheep. however, dogs do not inherently know to shepherd sheep.

it would make more sense to me to only apply moves that the pokemon are actually capable of inherently learning, as opposed to using some kind of unnatural composite form.

Ah I see. I was just under the assumption that these were actually pokemon who belong to trainers as he claims Nidoking could use brick break.

i started claiming he could use it when Bloodrain brought up Avalanche. initially i meant only moves they could learn in the wild, but i let him hav it, nido still wins. ty is 2 slow, u speak as if ty can do lightning-quick attacks, while its the exact opposite. due 2 his large size ty's atracks would come 2 slow 2 even graze nido. its called inertia...look it up....o_O nido's horn pierces diamonds...DIAMONDS!!! it takes unimaginable strength 2 do that, more than ty could handle. to put it simply nido runs in 4 a horn drill and murks ty b4 he can follow thru with a swipe of his arm.

No.

He is hardy slower than Nidoking. ANd while it is true it takes more force to accelerate a heavy object, Tyranitar's strength is FAR greater than the king's thus his strikes are hardly as sluggish as you claim.

nido's horn pierces diamonds...DIAMONDS!!!

Diamonds<<<<<<invincible armour.

it takes unimaginable strength 2 do that,

Not really. It just means Nidoking's horn is really hard and he is quite strong. But not tnearly enought to crumble mountains and bury rivers.
more than ty could handle.

Tyranitar's Strength>>>>>Nidoking's.
to put it simply nido runs in 4 a horn drill and murks ty b4 he can follow thru with a swipe of his arm.

To put it simply the horn drill doesn't even hurt T'tar and T'tar eats Nido for breakfest.

The King will be dethroned by the Tyrant.

The King will be dethroned by the Tyrant.

Nice.

Diamonds>>>>>>Rock

& besides if he really was invincible, then y is he only semi-legendary? nido uses Brick Break & crumbles him. Brick Break(also)>>>>>>>>Rock

Diamonds are rocks... Also, it's been proven several times Tyranitar will survive a brick break, even if you count balanced stats in game. 😐 Without that gameplay mechanic gimp, Tyranitar is totally invunerable to Nidoking.

Has a Tyranitar ever been physically hurt in canon?
