Dunno, haven't watched it. I do know a LArvitar did, it was mentioned in the "anime physics" section of wikipedia because Ash carried a Larvitar which would be heavier than he is.
In the games it's entirely optional to even encounter a Tyranitar, the canon says it can smash the crap out of mountains, though, so hey.

i realize diamonds r rocks, but they were given a different name for a reason; one is much harder & more valuable, & the other is worthless. a mountain is still no diamond, just rocks & dirt...its hard to compare destroying a mountain to piercing a diamond due to the fact that u dont c people running around destroying mountains...there's no point, diamonds on the other hand r cut to make them more appealing, so thats y its so easy 4 u to make an assumption that mountains r harder than diamonds, cuz u've never seen any1 destroy a whole mountain, but its possible. dynamite blows holes in mountains, so it could b easily compared 2 a Hyper Beam from ty, but dynamite does nothing 2 a diamond, showing the great difference in strength required 2 even damage a diamond.
diamond cutting is far more precise than just taking dynamite & blowing up a big pile of rocks. sure he can break a mountain, but he's slow and his attack wouldnt land b4 he was struck by nido's horn. o yea its been shown in the anime that ty can b damaged. it was shown in the celebi movie & another episode where ty got pissed off cuz he got a thorn stuck in his foot(lame).

So now Kings going to take the caution to strike his heart of all places? Doesnt need to be fast to stop a frontal ram like that :/ We all know the anime does show the most accurite things eg Kingler vicegripping Psyducks head with 10,000 horsepower gripping claws with the suck not even getting a scratch where its head should of been split in two. If King gets too close to those arms its over..

yes, i said "big, beautiful horn". what of it? how many times must i say it? too big, too slow....not gonna hav a chance against nido who is much lighter & quicker. but since u seem 2 love "best case scenarios" lets say ty does take a swing in time. nido moves out of the way & comes straight out of his Horn Drill in2 a Brick Break. ty is finished, game, set, match nido.w00t

Nope not just speed, power...in quality(diamond crushing). 1/4 is a big enough difference when combined with nido's highly effective attacks. plus he's not as heavy as ty meaning by the law of inertia, he can attack much faster. so in the amount of time it takes ty 2 execute 1 attack nido could already be executing his 2nd attack, tho it wont b necessary cuz at least 2 of his attacks can easily OHKO ty.
I know Nidoking has attacks that Tyranitar has a double disadvantage against but I still think Ty could win. Since its been reported that he can shift continents(not sure how this helps) and break through mountains without a care in the world all the while being seemingly stronger than Nidoking, I think it could win.....unless Nidoking really can lay Tyranitar out in 2-3 attacks.
