Supermans faster then thought, though.
T-VO's an option, but not a likely one. It's cheap as hell, and as a Superman fan it pains me to admit he can't possible beat him down, but the only options he has are cheap ones..
Another option, and imo more likely then T-VO based on his history, is energy absorption. It's how Supes beat Rampage, and he also absorbed Anti Sunlight. And from the Kryptonite X arc, we know he can absorb a large amount of energy without exploding.. At worst, he'll "Hulk out".
And Sentry being powered by "A million exploding suns" makes this an even more likely feat then if it was exotic energies..
^ You bastard. I was distracted from entering my drafted post. Now it looks like I'm just copying you. crackers

Also, what evidence do you have that Sentry's tagline, "power of a million exploding suns" actually translates to Sentry being solar-based?
Then again, let's not forget how Superman's ability to absorb solar-based energy proved super useful when Superboy Prime pierced his shoulder with heat vision. Super useful right thar.

Nice..you have the ability to do a search for 2 year old stuff. Thumbs up! I would return the favor of course, but....
...I'm not sure which is sadder, the fact that you actually predictably took the time to dig up, and post all that... or the fact that behind the monitor you probably feel pretty accomplished and good about yourself.
Don't get me wrong though, you taking your personal time stalking/hating is appreciated. By all means, carry on.
🙂
Back to the thread, Supes wins.
^ Searching user: "Avlon" and word: "lulz" wasn't very hard.
But, congratulations! You win the weekly phail award for "biggest-foot-in-mouth-post-exchange." It was a close race, but you definitely clinched it with your back-handed attempt at salvaging some dignity with d1ckery. The whole "pretending not to care" charade was also a nice touch.
Next time, lighten up and try not to care over something so menial. Also:

Considering most of the energies Supermans absorbed weren't solar energy...?
He's basically a giant power battery. It may be a long shot, but he's absorbed more then enough energy in terms of depth (Kryptonite X overload, absorbing energy from cosmic entities) and breadth (Rampage does not = sunlight) to make this a viable option...
And as for Absorbing Man, come on.. He's absorbed more then enough in his history to mark the Sentry thing as PIS. If for no other reason then that he tanked FAR too quickly, given he's absorbed Asgard and Odins power before..
^ Because Sentry is made of Kryptonite X which restored jobber post-DOS Superman to full strength in a one-off instance of convenient plot device schmuckery? Because Kismet voluntarily bestowed Superman with her energies and so Sentry will involuntarily bestow his energies onto Superman? Because Rampage is powered by solar energy and Sentry is not?
Let's not be ducking fumb about this.
And Superman hasn't done crap with these energy absorption powers in his history to mark the times he did as PIS. In any case, next time Superman can match/exceed Absorbing Man or Photon-Vell's capabilities, let me know.

Why do you assume he's not powered by solar energy, or something similar, if he claims he has the power of a million exploding suns?
That's pretty specific wording.
