I'll answer your question with a question. Why do yo get such a hard on by dissin' Deadpool? I should also have you know that Spiderman is one of my all time favorite comic heroes 'far' more than Deadpool. But hate is never a good thing.

It's called "X-Factor". You can activate it at any time, even as soon as the match starts (I think). However, the less life you have and the less characters you have, the stronger it is. I've mostly seen people use it to cancel hypers into hypers (sometimes into same hypers). There have been alot of hands on analysis and explinations of it and no complaints about it, yet. But yeah, it's meant to be a comeback mechanic.
Dante + Devil Trigger + Gun Hyper + Cancel into X-Factor + Cancel into Gun Hyper (now OPed by X-Fac) = Dead or damn near dead opponent.
Thing is, X-Fac can only be used once. So with catz like Dante, it means, if Dante is yur last man standin' and you aint used X-Fac yet, you gotta shot at takin' out 1 of your foe's men in one glorious string of commands. I've seen a few 100% with X-Fac, but it required you have 1 guy left with a few pixels of health, or alotta meter.
