Imo, MKC hype may have declined, but it's still bigger than it's been, for like a decade. Now that Boon has shown that he's serious about wantin to make hardcore fans off of the gameplay, rather than the esthetics and gore, the hype can only grow from here. That is if they choose to release sequels in a timely manner. The MKC at this rate is only gonna grow, but for right now, most the MK9 customers are the
CoD and Halo kids and they wouldn't buy a "Super" MK9.
This is why no casual fan bought SFIV and then bought SSFIV. I believe that if you already had SFIV and you bought Super, you've genuinely liked the game a lot and/or wanted to be part of the community.

Possibly the most popular costume from Storm as we remember her in one of the greatest cartoon series: Uncanny X-Men: The Animated series. The 90's was indeed the decade where the X-Men were the biggest and the most popular team without a shadow of doubt. Also, the best character (and the most versatile) in Marvel vs Capcom 2.
Reminds me of her golden appearance in X-Men vs Street Fighter.
The more obvious white pattern design made Storm's cape a lot different from her other costumes.
