The pain in her arm nearly caused her to loose her concentration, but Kellan followed her first blocked swing with a hard kick to Balek's left knee and wrapped her right leg around his, swinging her sabre one-handed up behind him, trying once more to loosen her attacker from the remainder of his harness. "You're going to have to pick up your next paycheck somewhere else, Balek," she yelled at him.

He's a strong man...

As you grapple together, he pushes his right arm virtually into your face. You cit away his harness as his spike launcher, re-loaded, extends out again to fire point-blank into your head...

Oh yeah, credits are no problem, yerss.

and we are still walking to the bars...

I was under the impression you were already in one, I shall post what I said again.

Bars here are plentiful and gloomy; like Nar Shadda but with less slugs. Mostly Grans, Rodians and humans around here. What you feel immediately is the big wave of suspicion radiating from people's minds.

*goes to barman*
I'm looking for a long (can't find where you said persis was like) blablabla guy, possibly named Persis, have you or someone you know seen him?
He should be here and the guy blew my engine up during a race, need to have some talking with him
*sabre is NOT shown visibly*

"Excuse me," says the protocol droid, loudly, approaching the bar before the barman can reply. "The Senatorial Assistant has an urgent message."

Is it your intention to ask people here about your mission, Jedi?" asks Nebb.

*hisses through theeth, very angry*
"It is my intention to find Persis, and if your droid didn't went in blowing it up, I might have pulled it off.
Now thanks to you this can not be done and I'm not surprised Persis will get news of us within the next fifteen minutes.
So, I either suggest you switch off your droid or order him to stop talking in ANY way. And I also would suggest you leave official Jedi Bussiness to the Jedi, are we clear on this one, or do I need to contact SUPREME CHANCELOR Palpatine on this one?"

"I think you have become unaware of the importance of myself in these discussions," says Nebb. "Without the droid I cannot understand what is said. Therefore I can neither vet nor record what you say or do, and if that is the case you will be required to return to the Military area as my brokered compromise will have fallen apart. This is my business as well, Jedi."

difficult to tell through the translation but he sounded somewhat more firm than normal with that last sentence.

"Then I hope for your sake the droid can get his volume down, or you can go to Palpatine to explain what just happened here and who exactly is responsible for what will happen next."
*looks at marcus*
"Shall we continue elsewhere master? He doesn't seem to be here, and we apperently don't have any cover left"

"Oh dear, have I caused some form of offence?" says C8-E8. "I am, after all, only saying what I am told to."

T'lo Nebb says something to the droid which seems to make it happy.

Everything in your instincts that dislikes the Republic is lighting up with this Senatorial Assistant, yerssot.

me not liking the republic? impossible 🙄

"I suggest that in the next bar, we go ahead and you sit down and stay out of trouble, your droid can walk with us and record the entire thing"

(Assuming we're also falling to the ground now.....)

Why? You are on the ground.

-

"My apologies, but the droid is not qualified for the vetting process. I must be on hand to stop you if you are straying outside the bounds of your mandate."

Xeth, you are being chased through the alleyway, by the one in the armour.

*thinks: Me! Oh! I wouldn't dare*
*sighs*
"Then do you have ANY idea how to cover up your appearance before we just tell everyone we see about this?"

"Oh no," says Nebb. "It is in fact mandatory for anyone you talk to to know exactly who you are, who I am, and why we are here! Else the potential for abuse is enormous, and that is not legal, I am afraid..."

(Having fun Yerssot?)

"Oh crap..." Xeth says. As he runs, he leaps up and does a few wall kicks, getting him up to where Master Gundark is.

You are fast, Xeth, but this man is keeping pace with you best he can. jumping after you with less style but equal effect. Bringing one of Kuylen's cronies to Gundy isn't going to help...

*murmles*
Guess he never heard of TACT

So it seems, yerss... but then again this is supposed to be a politician, and you feel a sharp mind behind his innocent musings.

You are certain that at the rate dictated by Nebb the whole thing will be over before you even find out where Persis was hiding. But without Nebb your investigation is not legal. It's a knotty problem, but that is the intention...
