USH'S GAME EPISODE IV- 'CHASE'- DARK SIDE AREA

Started by Captain REX91 pages

(Oh pooh, forget the powers. Allor is probably not really supposed to have ice powers anyway...)

"Destroy their transportation, eh?" Galder says. "We could use your method or we could use my method. My method is find the ship, use lots of explosives and guns, and blow it sky high. What do you suggest?"

Looking a little far into the future are we? *coughAlderaancough*

(Takuan's good, but not THAT good. No-one knows what might happen THAT far ahead...)

I think if Allor keeps her powers as a mood piece rather than as a way of twatting people it will be ok, game-wise.

"Bah" says Jolanta. "BOMBS. You're just like my sister. Clumsy and awkward- and also likely to trip every security sensor inside a hundred miles. FAR more amusing to spike it. You should see the ffacs on epopel when they realise all their electronics have become so much junk!"

-

GK, as ever when people aren't playing but are in a fight, assume Wraith is covering your back.

Leaping over a thug brings you up close to their leader- it leaves a CONSIDERABLE amount behind you, though. The leader tries to shoot you in the head.

-

Takuan, you seem to have actiavted the holographic storage unit on the comm. Currently in the memory... is an image of the Astrolabe.

Allor follows Kuylen and watches him very carefully. She doesn't trust people too easily.

Wraith strides from the shadows, where he had been watching to see how good Dak really was. In full armor, Wraith chooses to fight with his red lightsaber and then twirls out his blaster pistol. He fires at the leader and a few others before holstering the pistol and then swings at the nearest man, aiming to decapitate him.

"You have fought well, Dak," Wraith says as he swipes at another man. "Worthy of being rescued."

Allor keeping a serious face looks at Li. "The name's Allor." She says.

"Allor," says the Zabrak, "well, I am delighted. I do not know how Kuylen keeps finding you people."

"Enough," says Kuylen. "Take me to your mistress."

Allor, you and Kuylen are led through large double doors into Shareth the Hutt's throne room. The basic set-up is much like Jabba's palace in ROTJ- Hutt on a raised dias (this time with breasts... eugh...) with endless flunkies and armed men around her.

But this room is decked out in soft purple furnishings. Shareth herself is on the biggest sofa you have ever seen. Your feet almost sink into the soft floor beneath you. Shareth's yellow eyes look at you both as you approach her.

-

Wraith, you kill your first man but then are rapidly put on the defensive by the intense barrage of firepower coming your way when Dak leaps forwards leaving you exposed. You, too, will be undone by their flanking manoeuvre any second now...

Allor looked at Shareth. Allor's blue eye's never leaving their focus.

"You know, I remember hearing that your sister got a lot done that way. She managed, with the help of a few others, to blow up a huge ship just before we went into the Monastary on Avalar. Then I watched her die on Damagran...tragedy, wasn't it?" Galder says, lying about the last part. On the contrary, he was quite glad she was dead and that her sister was different than she. "Anyway, bombs is how I get things done too. Spiking the ship and turning it to junk is good too though. So, do we need to get into the ship or anything like that?"

"Damn!" Wraith cursed. He ran towards an edge of the circle and slashed and jumped and tried to get out of the circle.

(btw, how many guys are there?)

Five guys now, plus the leader

You two are now seperated, with the hunters in-between you. The leader is blasting at Dek's front, two men at his back., Wraith, you spin and are face to face with three man blasting away at you with a grim obsession.

-

"One minute next to their ship is all I need," says Jolanta. "I'm all ready to go!" A huge arm clamps down on her shoulder as she tries to move.

"WAIT," says Chion.

"Huh? Get OFF me!" says Jolanta, squirming ineffectually.

"The base is on ALERT," says Chion. "Wait for them to calm down"

Blimey, Galder, he'll be reading books next!

-

Shareth, of course, speaks in Huttese.

"Kuylen, Kuylen," she says. "How it gives me joy to see you again, and in such... breathtaking company. But you were a fool to come to Nar Shadda. The price on your head is such that every scum with a firearm will seek your death."

"They will not be a problem," says Kuylen.

"Kuylen, you are the most dangerous man I ever knew, but now you are doomed. No being can take on the Galaxy by himself."

"I do not intend to stay here long. I am searching for Kir Ascar." Shareth lets out an odd little squeak.

"And I thought you had come here to see ME... how it PAINS me to hear you talk such cold business..."

A door opens at the far side of the hall, and you hear an odd voice saying, faintly, "Roger Roger." To your surprise, two tropps of battle droids start to march into the room.

"I thought you might have come to see me on Damagran, but you did not," says Shareth.

"I was busy," says Kuylen.

"Yes. Busy killing one of my most valuable customers and ruining one of my most lucrative contracts."

You sense the possibility of danger, Allor.

"Faylar was always a dead man, Shareth. You said so yourself. I simply made your august prophecy come true."

Shareth laughs.

"Fearless as ever," she says. "I know this 'Ascar' of course. He is a good businessman and has respect for the Hutts. But he does not call himself Ascar on Nar Shadda."

"Does he call himself Mal Sannan?"

"Sometimes. He has many names. And MANY friends. Many of these friends are also MY friends, and I could not simply help you find Ascar without annoying them... a being should stick by her friends, Kuylen, yes?"

"So you DO know where he is?"

"I know... something..." says Shareth. "But like I say..."

"Perhaps," interrupts Kuylen, though it seems that Shareth was planning on him doing so. "Perhaps there is some work that needs doing, something that your hired guns and tinpot soldiers here would find difficult. Something that might make it easier on your esteemed conscience to tell me what I need to know."

Shareth laughs, long and hard.

"Well now," she says, "there IS someone who owes me a great deal of money... a Gran named Eidor... he says I cheated him, the scum-faced pile of bantha poodoo. He lives in an armoured fortress in the sewers that my men cannot breach."

"Consider it sorted," says Kuylen. Shareth laughs again.

"Kuylen, I have no doubt you could kill them all. But you would not find my target. You have become too well known; you would be recognised when you got near, and Eidor would flee and never be seen again. I simply cannot use you for such tasks any more."

Kuylen smiles.

"My friend here, Allor, is not as famous as I. Yet. She could do your task."

Shareth's eyes turn to you, Allor.

"Well," she asks, "does Kuylen speak truthfully? Will you do this thing for me?"

Allor bows respectfully. "Of course, it will be done, Mi'Lady" she says.

"Excellent," says Shareth. "My associate Li Milano will givr you the details... you may leave now. Kuylen I will talk with more once it is done..."

The Zabrak who led you in now leads the two of you out, with occasional diabolical laughter from Shareth behind.

"Don't fail me on this," says Kuylen to you. "That's information we need. Don't try anything fancy- just do what Milano tells you to and then get back here as oon as you can. I'll stay here- no bounty hunters will try for me under Shareth's protection."

(at first i was tyhinking at alderaan but i got ove rit soon)
Takuan figures the astrolabe must be in there from their objectives on malastare. Or it might be related to whatever he can find more in the unit. He keeps looking.

Allor follows the zabrak saying nothing. THis better not be a trick. If Kuylen says it's all right, then it must be.

"Good thinking, Chion..." Galders says. No matter how many times Chion speaks, it is still surprising. "But what do we intend to do in the meantime? Oh, and Jolanta, can I see the footage of the Jedi, just so I know who I'm up against?"

Jolanta shows you some shots of the Jedi conversing with the base commander, Galder. The Jedi are Mah and Marcus.

-

That's all that seems to be in the unit, Takuan

-

The Zabrak, Li Milano, leads you over to a troop of about 25 battle droids, Allor.

ok..takuan starts switching the frequency button hoping to catch a conversation..something.

"Oh damn, not Marcus..." Galder moans. "The Master there, the elderly one, he's the one that cut off my arm." Then, just to get Jolanta in the mood for destruction. "And your sister. Can you see if you can find anything they are saying?"

'Not droids' thought Allor 'there so unaffecient.' Bt she says nothing.
