You don't have to have children to know this. I was only a child about 10 years ago and I know that I was disciplined and I know that my parents were never seen by social services.

It seems to me that this is a much more serious problem for teachers. My mother can't touch the kids she works with in any way because the school can't afford to be sued by a crazy parent.
