Depends on the games, for Bioware....
Baldur's Gate Trilogy was amazing, and BGII is perhaps the greatest RPG of all time.
KOTOR I was brilliant. KOTOR II wasn't as good (though Bioware didn't make the game, and LucasArts pressured the game developers). ME I and II were solid. While DA😮 was superb (though nothing compared to BG), Dragon Age II was awful.
They certainly are capable of making excellent games, but I wonder if MMORPG is the proper realm for them. They have really hyped this game up, and it will have ridiculous expectations since fans were denied KOTOR 3.

DA😮 might have had cliche elements, but the story was so much more epic. All of the various 'origin' stories were tragic, and you got to really feel for the Warden as he/she had to deal with personal struggle, a civil war, divided races, and an imminent Blight. All of the companions were memorable, as well.
In DA:II, I feel Hawke just happens to be in the right place at the right time. He/She camps out in Kirkwall and interferes in the city's conflicts. He/She just happens to know Anders. Sure, the story was unique, but what Hawke accomplishes isn't satisfying. Just look at what the Hero of Ferelden does in one year.
DA:II might boast superior graphics, but a lot of the game was repetitive. I liked the faces in DA😮 (apart from Hawke, of course). And they RUINED Sandal's face. He looks creepy now. Plus, I rather enjoyed those God of War-esque slo-mo kill animations.

My testing server opens Tuesday at 8 PM but they sent invites a week ago so everyone can DL the client in time. So I'll tell you when I play it! But it'll be KOTOR but more epic if possible.
Its the multiplayer part of this MMO i'm worried about. That and that unlike star wars galaxies there won't be an "economy" to speak of. No guilds or jobs to do. Combat story and thats it.
Although I definitly hope I am wrong on the latter subject.

There's not going to be an economy until post-launch. You can't have much of one in beta.
The epic guild-recruitment spamming is annoying me. I hope there's the option to avoid guild invites like in LotRO, because I'll kill people if I get multiple invites.
I'm gonna make a smuggler, btw. I bet some of you are shocked. If they allow purebloods as Inquisitors, I'll make Marka Ragnos Jr too.
