Harry Potter Magic versus the Force (Army thread).....

yeah, not to mention the avada kedavra spell...,insta kill. Although, i'm sure a well placed throw by an experienced jedi could cut down several wizards at once. Just as the Jedi have nothing to defend against spells, the wizards have nothing to defend against force powers. The Jedi or Sith still have a chance to win this but it would take a flawless blitzkrieg of force push and saber throws. I'm also not sure if the Jedi or Sith would be able to dodge spells with their force speed. I know i have seen the wizards in the Potter movies miss with their spell casting.

Well, there was some debate as to whether or not a wizard can utter the death spell incantation before being force choked. Debate over, transfiguration requires no incantation.

Rogue Jedi, what if all 20 Force users fully opened themselves to the Force? I don't think you have a clue how much power would be unleashed on your so-called invincible Wizards. Their feeble skills are no match for the power of the Force. Look at what Anakin Solo did to the YV when he opened himself to the Force despite taking numerous wounds. He wiped out an entire what roughly is the equalivant of a platoon by himself. Hmm . . . not a chance in hell does the pathetic Wizards emerge victorious.

Movie feats only, babe.

Could the Wizards survive the Battle of Geonesis? Nope.

Yeah, they could have. All of the apararte to insta-safety. As Voldy leaves, he casts fiendfyre on all the dumb bots and they melt/incenerate into a puddle of metal and circuits.

Not to mention that someone CAN speak while being force choked ✅ AND non verbal spells.

I've already explained why Padme could talk. Anakin was purposefully trying not to kill or overly damage her.

edit: I'd forgotten how badass those scenes were,

And in none of those scenes was the victim killed immediately. It took quite some time. Non verbal spell to Vader's face, problem solved. Or.................................Apparition.

He was clearly seen punctuating sentences with the deaths of Admirals in ESB. He can kill at will. Somethimes he likes to see them suffer.

Which is perfectly natural/reasonable, being a darksider.

Not instantly.

And yet he's crushed durasteel with the Force actually quicker than they died. Ergo, he can crush their necks even faster. They don't get the chance to do jack.

Watch it again.

He clearly piles the pressure on suddenly, breaking their necks at a time of his choosing. Look at the speed at which Jedi threw droids, objects etc around etc and apply that to how quickly and powerfully they manipulate matter through the force.

No, man. He chokes them out. It's called a "force choke", not a "force break."

Takes several moments to suffocate, more than enough time to hit Vader in the face with a spell.
