Yeah, but that wasnt like amazing, it was really scrappy...no finese with his sabre, he was just slashing away like a broadsword loon.... Luke got shot in the hand, he had a lot to learn.

You honestly think Luke could have lasted more than 10 seconds against Anakin/Vader of ROTS?

No the lack of mind control on Jabba was down to it not working on Toydarians or Hutts, or the weakminded..its actually got nothing at all to do with Luke not sensing an attack.

Just saying, Luke's feats on Tattooine were impressive, even for a Jedi.
