Harry Potter Magic versus the Force (Army thread).....

Yeah, but John Wayne Pwns everybody else.

('Cept maybe Jeff bridges as Cogburn)

Mmmmmm......Nah, I'd say he edges out Bridges. Not by much though.

The John Wayne charge was better armed.

That Winchester/Revolver combo of Wayne's was awesome.

Looks like James Cameron thought so too: I definitely saw the T-800 doing that spinning the rifle reloading trick of Cogburn's, in T2.

I haven't seen True Grit yet, Rob sent it to me, gonna watch it later this week.

Well perhaps he had an explanation of how the dead wizards were to work thier magic from inside the rubble, whilst being crushed and dead?

Hmmmmmmm. Nope. I dont recall that.

You forgot about all of those silly shield charms that the wizards can put up in less than a minute. They don't even need 30 minutes of prep time. They muggies have no way of injuring the wizards so they don't have to do anything, dead, from the rubble. They can take a nap while the force users forget what they were doing and mysteriously remember that they had something else to do.

Mean while, in Japan:

😂

Yeah but protego's resistance to the force (being part of everything in the universe) is doubtful. So yes, silly the shields are.

I agree that they could be force pushed or pulled inside a physical shield like protego...

But what about all of the others?

Other force attacks, you mean?

Ah my apologys.

Well that assumes that the "magic" would have an effect on the Jedi's minds in a force governed situation again.

Also, Jedi are taught to clear their minds and let the force guide their actions. So they could still forget everything in their conscious mind and let go and pwn.

Confundus does not rely on the victim being weak minded. Nor does Legilimens.

The Jedi mind trick, it has limits. Confundus and Legilimens do not.

HP wand waveing and chants are not gonna be telling the force what to do.

Especially not the living force that would "Know" its representatives in this are being attacked by the said waver/chanter.

Especially when that force is part of what makes everything from Harry's wand to the Jedi and everything, all the space between them.

the force doesn't make them not muggles.

I recognize the wording in dadudemon's post as the anti-muggle charm.

Sure but the force user works with the thing that is the universe.

Surely that is win over any thing IN that universe..

Wouldn't that be like saying that a force user would be immune to the force?

Jedi and Sith are still subject to the laws of a given universe. And if one of those laws makes you automatically do something because you match certain criteria, it's going to happen.

This is seen in Episode three where a flamable jedi was in an area that said "anything flamable in this area is on fire" and boom. Jedi flambe. Or well, he was more sith at the time so Sith flambe.

Said Jedi was also coasting above a river of lava without having his lungs seared, but whatever.

You already tried this angle. I already buried it. This is HPgalaxy, not SWgalaxy. The force does not bind HPgalaxy together. Even if it did, so? How does that affect anything? It doesn't. It's a nifty catch phrase, it sounds good in the Jedi recruitment video, that's all.

So the force binds the SWgalaxy together, big effing deal. It didn't keep all those Jedi from dying on Geonosis (a battle which the Death Eaters would WTF solo, BTW), it wouldn't help the Jedi against the Skyline fleet (a battle which again, the Death Eaters would WTF rape BTW), it won't help the Jedi to avoid being confundused, it won't keep the Jedi from being Imperioed, it won't enable the Jedi to fly, it won't enable the Jedi to teleport, it won't enable the Jedi to become mere puffs of smoke, it won't enable the Jedi to vanish, conjure and/or summon anything they want, it won't enable the Jedi to change someone into a teacup, it won't enable the Jedi th cast a shield that protects them from any and all physical attacks, it won't.......well, you get the idea.

Force powers are in play here. The Jedi can force pull, force push, force speed, force pull, force hold, and some can force choke, force lightning and force crush. They also have their flimsy ass precog and their lightabers. That's it, and only as much as they did onscreen. That's it.

"The force binds the galaxy together", so what?

Hermione Granger, thousands of feet away, on the roof of a high rise, protected by a protego. Outside the protego, a Repello Muggletum. Outside that, the OOTP members. The building is surrounded by a repello muggletum. The Jedi cannot near it, it's literally impossible. Confundus. Then Immobulus. Jedi mannequins. Death spell.

That's it. Concede.

XD

Honestly dude, force crush can crush synthetic and organic crap, if i believe. Might just be synthetic. Either way, crush the effing building. No wizard would be able to get out in time when there is a building being crushed and falling around them. Or, make a phone call that involves being able to see them. Choke.

haermm Force crush was never shown at that strength. It was shown crushing some medical equipment and some cans. This is a damn building. It'll take some time to crush it, IF it can crush it. Screen feats show it cannot.

One word. Confundus. All the Jedi will forget who they are and what they are doing.

Imperio, the Jedi turn on each other.

Force crush the building haermm
