No, most times the guy is offside, infact, Mexico looked to be offside against France, everyone said it was offside and the guy scored and it turned out he was lucky, cos he was onside.

The offside rule is to prevent a player to go behind the defence line and score since its very easy when there's only one person to get passed.

So easy for that person to score if the ball is passed to him via an overhead kick and he volleys or heads it into the net.

Kinda like the Argentina goal against Mexico.

Then the goalie should step it up.

I know what it is, and I don't like the rule.

The offside rule is a must... The game would suffer greatly if there was no offside rule... The defense would have to sit so deep.

Indeed.. the defense would have to spend the entire game inside their own penalty area because if there was no offsides thats where the forwards would spend the whole game just waiting for the ball to come to them.

I was demonstrating how easy it was for someone to score if it wasn't in play, which it is, I mean why not just have a 6'6 player in the box for the whole game and constantly have the ball kicked towards him.

I assume it's a diagram of a player being offside... Not sure why he made it though.

An overhead kick to that player will almost guarentee a goal; I wanted to demonstrate.

Maybe the dutch will beat Uruguay so bad that it has to count as a victory over anyone that has ever played them?

Possibility?

Without Suarez, though.

So how does this 3rd place game go about? The two losing teams on each side of the bracket go at it?

So Germany vs Uruguay? 😛

Fascinating how some people perceive things, how that mix of dots and lines can demonstrate that is beyong me 😆

I think the Netherlands are favourites tonight, but Uruguay are fighters and even without Suarez you have to give them a chance, especially with Forlan on form, maybe he´ll play up front where he belongs.

Germany v Spain is a difficult one to call, I think the team who scores first will win it.

Ignore the dots, they're just for spacing.

Lines are the players.

Damn what a kick to the face Holy shit

Looked like some Street Fighter move

Spit everywhere, lol.

Amazing goal by Netherlands though. Amazing.

And for uruguay...
