At the current form I can´t see the Netherlands beating Spain, Spain are so well organised and the Netherlands were a bit skitty near the end of the Uruguay game.
What will be interesting, is whether Bert Van Marwijk can change the tactics and certain parts of the side to break Spains rythm.
Van Bommel in the midfield could be the key. If Spains 5 man midfield Cobra, which seems to lull opponents into a trance can get a bit of a kicking, and lets face it Van Bommel is brutal player, then they could do some damage especially with Robben.
Everyone goes on about Messi, but Robben is just as good imo if not better when you consider his impact so far.
Van Persie seems to be out of place in the team, are there any other options?
I'm pulling for Uruguay in Saturday's game, as I've really become a fan of Luis Suarez in the matches I've seen. It was a shame he wasn't there for the last one, but then again, they wouldn't be there if it wasn't for his "suspension," if I'm not mistaken.
And in the match that counts, I'm rooting for Holland.

I haven't really been impressed by Spain this tournament, and I find it quite humorous that some people seem to think it's a sure thing for Spain, as if they bull-dozered over every opponent this tournament. Fact is, Van Marwijk's current strategy was made to play against teams like Spain.
When it comes to Van Persie, you're right, it's time for him and Van Marwijk to realise that he doesn't work as a sole striker. Either Huntelaar or Kuyt should replace him.

The Dutch do have a solid team of skilled players and they do play well together, but they also happen to be the dirtiest of the dirty WC teams, they purposely kick, shove and try to injure their opponents key play more than any other team; they do this every single game, though their the luckiest bastards, as they often get away with their shenanigans.
Good luck on Sunday; I won't be cheering for them though. Good thing about Sunday, it wil be a first Cup for either team; that's cool to see.

Might be true, but again, anyone who has been following football for longer than June 11th knows that the Dutch are usually ''fair players''. Even after losing consecutive World Cup finals against dirty teams like Germany and Argentina. I think they finally realised after the way Portugal eliminated them at the last World Cup, that in today's game you need to play dirty. You yourself just hailed Suarez as one of the better players of this tournament. He plays for Ajax and I see him play every week, he is one of the dirtiest players I have ever seen. He constantly bitches for cards, he tumbles over as soon as he's controlled the ball etc. Also, the handsball against Ghana might be seen as a heroic action to save his nation, in reality it's more despicable than Zidane's headbutt last World Cup. Besides, the only players who really play dirty are De Jong and Van Bommel and that's to be expected of DM's.

Football is egotistical, every England fan thinks Englands "deserve" another world cup. Even though they are crap from the grass roots, through the idiots running the FA to the "bottle it" players.
The Netherlands are the only unbeaten team in the tournament which should give them confidence, but the key is to break Spains hypnotic way of playing, and imo that can only mean fight, work hard and take your chances.
I´ll be rooting for the Netherlands anyway.
