There's no way in hell a bomb is gonna work after being buried under the foundation of Hogwarts for 1000 years. Also, Timecop will have to conceal the bomb. How's he gonna do that? There are chambers that run hundreds of feet below Hogwarts. How's Timecop gonna dig a hole that deep? What's he gonna do, call in the crew from Armageddon? Not to mention that a "big ass bomb" is not part of Timecop's onscreen arsenal. So there it is, bomb argument over.
Sadako also mentioned that Timecop can time travel and kill each wizard before they were born. Not gonna happen. TEC time travel is not exactly foolproof, it has kinks in it. Proof? TEC lost a pilot on a recent jump in the Timecop movie. So, that argument is now over.
