Okay I read the interview.

Seems Ewing is doing the bat thing because he saw it in Deadpool the Gauntlet. He also is taking some of his Blade from Captain Britain and M13.

You kidding? That is twice as lame. I've always thought vampires turning into animals was stupid. I don't care how far in vampire lore it goes back.

The only Blade that didn't have good healing was the one Guggenheim wrote. MI:13 Blade had a good healing factor. He was diced up pretty good by Spitfire but he healed up rather quickly.

Nah. Ewing isn't gonna do that. He seems to like Blade quite a bit.

He was only stabbed...don't think it was severe enough to kill him.

Yeah, that part is particularly important.

IIIRC, there was a retcon or two (by Guggenheim?) that actually made it that Morbius' bite didn't change him at all, as he's always been a dhampire/daywalker.

Looked like he carved his chest open with that sword. We also see the holes in his side from the Lampreys, he couldn't have had much blood left.

That help proves that he was always a vampire and that the Morbius bite is no longer what gave his powers.

I have a question about that feat there. I have seen Blade jumping out of airplanes and high buildings to land just fine all the time. But I think his upwards jumps are more far and few between. Any idea how high up he might have been?

Also. Did Blade just time automatic gunfire from a SHIELD soldier while he had his back turned? Because if so that is a damn good speed feat.

I believe that may of been a different universe for Blade. For example. Earth-616. I wouldn't quote me on that, though. Anyway. Here's a Preview for Mighty Avengers #12.

Ever notice people like Moon Knight always get another shot at a solo?

Ewing needs to be writing a Blade comic.
