For the Jade one, best advice I can give is, choose Scorpion, and once you get to Shang Tsung, jump towards him while doing his aerial Y/triangle punch, then uppercut him. After that, use the spear, do a teleport, press Scorpion's X/square punch a couple times, spear and teleport again, and rinse and repeat. If you're doing it on beginner difficulty, Tsung won't ever be able to touch you with that method, and then you'll fight classic Jade afterward, assuming you did a fatality on Tsung and everyone before him.And if you happen to get hit by Tsung, be sure to keep fighting him until it says "Finish Him", because if you go to player select and retry beforehand, it'll count as a loss for your record, and you can't get any losses if you want Jade to show up, so yeah.
Smoke I already told you about. For classic Reptile, just keep choosing the arcade until the Pit (night) becomes the stage for your 1st match. At the beginning, don't move or anything and wait a few seconds for something to cross the moon (that's usually the fastest way for it to activate) and get a double flawless and stage fatality. Unlike with Tsung in order for you to fight Jade, you can go to player select prematurely and try again if you happen to get hit.
Hope that helps?
...
A fatality on all other fighters up to Tsung?, I thought you only had to do a fatality on him (besides flawless victory)...
Thanks for the advice, gonna do it that way
Mythologies, I remember how much I loved and hated that game... I liked the story and the cutscenes, but the gameplay was broken... It was too damn hard

I liked it. I think it's a good set up for what's going to come next...
link is crap; anyway:
"Toys 'R' Us has listed (via GameInformer poster Camoufrage) the first DLC for Mortal Kombat as releasing this Wednesday, May 4, on both Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network. Unfortunately, it's likely the PSN won't be available so soon.
On a related note, the very same Toys 'R' Us posting lists the game as on sale for USD $39.99 through May 7.
The first DLC add-on for Mortal Kombat will include additional playable characters, including Kenshi and Scarlet. Pricing is still unconfirmed."

Haven't gotten accustomed to his normals much yet, but his combos can be pretty good, especially when used in conjunction with his telekinetic slam. Basically what I do is use use his Y/triangle punch a couple times, do a TK slam, hit the opponent while they're in the air with his B/circle button attack (but without doing a flip), followed by his teleport while in the air, and finally end it with his telekinetic push (normally do the enhanced special version of that if possible). Besides the boss characters, Ermac also has one of the most damaging x-rays, percentage-wise (the other being Jax's). I'd say that makes up for his lack of speed compared to those two you mentioned, for we are many, you are but one. 313 😛
Nice. I'll be sure to give this a try. After all, should help when I get to that triple Goro Challenge.
Also, I'll check out other forums for Ermac & his Combos and let you know. 😛

Also, when you're selecting the difficulty before starting, hold down the back/select button. Doing so will make you fight Goro on expert instead of Kintaro in the semifinal match, who frankly is easier since he doesn't have that annoying flame breath.
Meh, probably will just use it on both. I think we need to finish both anyway.
Agreed. Kintaro has also used his ground projectile thrice in a row against me once. Nearly killed me. >__>

lol Yeah. Cage's was probably the most funny for me though, aside from it being an obvious reference to his friendship finisher in earlier games (which was also used right at the end of his fight with Scorpion in the first movie awesome).
Oh yeah I forgot about that. It also reminds me of Dan from SF.
Also, did you get the movie on Blu-Ray?

Yeah I remember all he did in his own game(I loved it) and yes I now remember Raiden mentioning it in the beginning of this game when Scorpz showed his skull. I guess it is still canon since Raiden was not obsessed with stopping his vision from happening and thus nothing was altered.
MK Mythologies: Sub Zero took place before MK1. Raiden only starts altering the timeline at the start of MK1. Ergo, everything that happened prior to MK1 in the original timeline, is exactly the same in the new timeline.
Elder Sub-Zero was a beast in that game.

Kung Lao is probably the best character right now. Johnny, Raiden and Smoke are others I'd say are at the top as well.
~ Also, does everyone here know that Fighter stance does have a small bit of influence in the game?

Yeah I know. Both Subs are badasses. What was the name of each of them?

I wish the first Subzero had remained as what he originally was though, since he only got his ass kicked by everyone as Noob Saibot..

The main setback for me on Mythologies at first was not being able to turn around automatically, but you get used to that pretty fast, especially depending on how you adjusted the controls. Once you got the ice shatter move, pretty much all the non-boss enemies were fairly easy, but that water/sewer level took me forever the first time through! >_<

With the way it's going now, I think this series will be lucky if it lasts even as long as MK Conquest.

I'm guessing the timing of this DLC release will also be when they patch up the Cage x-ray glitch and what not, since that's usually when they tend to make those changes.

Thanks for that. I'll be picking it up there.

I hated the Fujin level, and just about every level with chasms... you had to make a perfect jump or else you'd die... it' was annoying... and the fact that you couldn't finish the game on easy or whatever...me an my friend said "phuck it!, we're doing this on Hardest" and we did... it took it's time, but we enjoyed the cutscenes without the game telling us we couldn't go any further 😄
Actually he is the very same friend that borrowed my 360 so he can play MK 🙂

Oh yeah, I remember those moments on the wind stage. You also had to time both your jumps and your running correctly in order to not eventually die on the fire level (in addition to those monks that just hit and run), which was also annoying unless you had a bunch of extra herbs on you.
Hmm, now that I think about it, I kinda wish they had made the Water God an actual character for the series in certain games like they did Fujin and Sareena, as far as those who originated in Mythologies. Speaking of Sareena, they could always use more of her...

🙂 Good to see you back here CM.I'm not sure if this has been said b4, but since WB owns MK now, why the **** didn't they let Tsung turn into the Joker?
& did anybody notice Kenshi on the Pit stage?
As for the thing with Shang Tsung and the Joker, I dunno. Kinda wondered that myself. I mean, it's not like they couldn't of used the actual Joker for that fatality for copyright reasons or something, right?
I always see Kenshi, either fighting Daegon or Frost.
Apparently you can also see retro Cyrax stuck in the Desert stage
here there are some footage of hacked Skarlet

btw, did anyone use the opening cutscenes to see what the tier was?here's the ones I remember:
1) Subzero killed Scorpion (bullshite! 😠 )
2) Kung Lao killed Baraka
3) Shinnok killed Kung Lao
4) Nightwolf killed Shiva
And Shang Tsung (disguised as Ermac) took Kenshi's soul, and Hotaru killed Li Mei at like the beginning of the Armageddon battle. lol That's all I can remember at the moment. Wish they had shown the entirety of the fight of Armageddon so the rest still wouldn't be left to interpretation. I'd like to know how exactly certain guys like Shujinko or Onaga died in particular, or even characters they didn't show in the MKA intro like Chameleon and such.
Also, the Shinnok that killed Kung Lao and died in the battle was a clone originally made to assist Daegon; the real Shinnok remained in the netherrealm during Armageddon. As far as the original timeline, he, Shao Kahn, and Taven are the only known survivors.
