Yeah, they're probably going to mix two storylines from the comics in the next few episodes. It sucks having to wait until october though.
Yeah. It looks like The Wolves are just going to take the place of The Scavengers from the comics.

Spoiler:
The Wolves will ultimately attack Alexandria. During the chaos, a horde of Walkers will also get through the gates. There will be losses, but with Rick's leadership, Alexandria will prevail. With Rick's leadership, Alexandria will rebuild into a stronger community.

Anyway, I'm curious how they'll build equipment, maintain the walls, etc. now that 'the architect' is dead..? If it follows the comics, then

Spoiler:
Eugene will become the brains of the community. He is ridiculously smart in the comics, and can figure out how to build complex equipment after reading about it once--and 'the architect' seemed to have kept a LOT of notes for him to read. /shrug

Great finale, though. I wanted a little more closure with the father Gabriel and Glenn fiasco(s), but Rick stepping up as the next leader of Alexandria, and Morgan transforming into The Book of Eli before my very eyes, was more than enough to sate me.

In short, this episode did what a finale should do: left me wanting more. October can't come soon enough. 👆

I'm guessing Morgan's new 'way of the warrior-monk' will serve to reel Rick in and act as his conscience, like Hershel did. Except Morgan can do that and kick ass.

But Rick's conscience always dies.

Morgan's a black man, you know he has an expiration date in TWD. All we can hope for that when he goes, it is glorious. Not like poor Tyreese who was bitten because he was daydreaming.

After chasing a useless shit that couldn't even hold him up when needed.

i dunno man, Kirkman has said more than once that he's in favor of changes being made... especially when he can reverse a decision that he regrets from the comics. Along with the fact that Morgan seems to have a huge tv fanbase, i think he's safe, at least for a good while.

totally agree with this. When he saw Rick kill Porchdick, i was thinking the same thing. Morgan will likely get it into Rick's head that killing isn't the best or only option.

speaking of which, there was no real reason other than Deanna's personal sense of (very hypocritical) revenge in the moment. This would have been the perfect time to set up a prison within Alexandria. You can't just kill people for every minor incident, and kicking them out seems like THE DUMBEST possible option.

Also cute reference to "little red riding hood" with the guy that was captured by the wolves wearing a red jacket/rain coat.
And Castlevania with the daryl chain whip action.

Anyone else laugh at Abraham's "shit" input during the Rick conference.

yeah. i did. This dude is about as subtle as a Hurricane.

Laughed and tweeted about it.

He's been dubbed "Ginger Rage" in the circle of people I watch the show with

That is why Judith is still alive, why Rick still has both arms, why Morgan is now Denzel Washington, etc.

Also, I wonder what became of that massive stockpile of guns/ammo Morgan amassed? Did he simply abandon it when he gained this newfound peaceful clarity, or did another group overtake it?

Spoiler:
Eugeme is the most logical substitution, it's either that or have him be a useless shit like gabriel

Pete's death is more important than people realize, what are they going to do when shit hits the fan without a doctor? I mean

Spoiler:
I really want Carl to lose his eye, it's a crucial part of Carl's development in the comics, but without a doctor there's no credible way of surviving that.

^ In the comics there a two doctors in Alexandria: Pete and Denise. The latter is who stabilized Carl after he was shot in the eye/head.

you think there will be a timeskip next season?

that's interesting. I hope he at least had the foresight to burn that place to the ground before he left.

I was wondering how in the hell Daryl and Aaron planned on getting all those canned goods back to the camp if the trailer wasn't zombie-trapped and actually filled with supplies.

Also, good to know there's a martial arts gym still open for business post-apocalypse. Between Morgan and Michonne, we have 2 of the 4 ninja Turtles. You could easily fashion together a pair of nunchaku, but i imagine a pair of sai is gonna be hard to find.

Nah. I think it will begin right where this season ended.

There were a few trucks on the lot, iirc. Figured Daryl was going to hotwire one and have Aaron 18-wheel it back to town while he covers the rear in his cafe' racer style moto.

Aaron wouldn't mind Daryl covering his rear

Yeah, but apparently Heath and Denise don't exist for the moment. I think Deanna would have mentioned the other surgeon in the community.

Maybe they will be introduced between seasons, like Bob in S4.
