Enjoyed this episode.
Spoiler:
Alexandria will be completely f*cked when that massive horde of Walkers hits them... But that's where the rebuilding process comes into play, and Alexandria ultimately becomes even better than before(the comic fans will know what I'm talking about.) Anyway, I wasn't too surprised by the ending... It was going a bit too smoothly by TWD standards--something had to f*ck it up.Not too sure what to think of Morgan, atm. His 'all life is precious' mantra seems like it goes hand-in-hand with naivete at times.
I'm guessing Eugene will now be head scientist in charge now that the other dude is dead. I like the redemption arcs they got Nicholas and Gabriel on. Nicholas actually seems pretty likable.
From what it seems,
Spoiler:
the first six episodes will consist of the Wolves/Horde attack on Alexandria, given the Wolves are probably the ones with the horn, interspersed with black and white flashbacks. Jessie and her family are slated to die, and Carl will get his eye shot out. I'm guessing Morgan will die too, which honestly, wouldn't bother me. His pacifist shtick is annoying and reminds me of Dale and Tyresse, both of whom died from being too wimpy. I hope when the Wolves attack, he has a realization of how foolish he was not to have killed them when he had the chance.

how though? all of the people who knew about structural design are dead now.
Spoiler:
Eugene will become an invaluable member of the group. He is able to read about damn near anything, and then build it perfectly from scratch. He, along with Rick's leadership(and bolstered security of course), are how Alexandria becomes a thriving community in the not-too-far future.
So yeah, I'm over the "I don't want to kill anyone" version of Morgan. The Wolves just hacked the shit out of the defenseless citizens of Alexandria, but he LETS them run-off WITH a gun? Stupid. They're just lucky Rick wasn't there.
Also, I doubt that's the last we've seen of "JSS". Curious what kind of role she plays later..?
Hm...
Well, I remember seeing some behind the scenes interview of Morgan's actor talking about how his character is gonna be the next Hershel as the 'voice of reason' and all that, so the direction he's heading now isn't really surprising. Kinda feel the same way about it as you, though he's still cool with the staff at least.
There's a difference between being the voice of reason, and being so unwilling to kill you endanger people you're supposed to protect as well as yourself. Not killing those Wolves who jumped him at his campfire in the first place is how they found Alexandria. Because he dropped his bag with the pictures in it.
Then he allowed several to get away. He could have murdered every single wolf in that 1 v 5 fight he was in. But he let them get away after pointing out the Wolves weakness to them, then let the one wolf get away with a gun. And what made it worse?! You realize Morgan had a loaded gun on his hip the entire time. He couldn't catch up so he just let them go. He didn't even try to shoot the one with the gun in the back. At least he could have stopped him.
Even the Alpha Wolf he fought in the house could have killed him because he was screwing around and refusing to seriously injure him. I mean...why would you apologize to a guy who is leading a band of people who are indiscriminately wholesale slaughtering everyone you care about in this world?
Thing is, Morgan is nothing like Herschel. Even Herschel understood the necessity of violence in the new world. Morgan reminds me of Dale, who like Morgan was trying to spout some kind of BS ethical code that meant not killing an obvious threat in the form of Randall.
Five seasons in, the point has been made pretty damn clear that resorting to violence is the ONLY way to survive in this world. After everything we've seen with the Guv, Joe, Terminus, and the hospital, how do the writers at all expect us to root for Morgan's pacifism when they've already shown its not a viable tactic?
I think this may also lead to a problem
Spoiler:
regarding Negan, if they stick by the comic storyline. No way in hell will it seem smart for Rick to take him prisoner after what he does. No audience member would root for such a decision
