Rick didn't ****ing listen then, cos he had no problem turning his back onSpoiler:
Shane's corpse.
Back when the whisper happened i assumed he Told Rick that Lori was preggers, but that obviously wasn't the case either.
So, i can make that three things i wanna see in the finale.
1. Michonne
2. Morgan and Duane in some capacity
3. Rick telling us what that dude whispered to him

Oh wow. Looks like no one is surprised. I've never read the comics, didn't expect him to be killed off, certainly not so soon.
He actually died in issue #6 of the comic series. So he went longer then he was supposed too.
Also the reveal of how be became a
Spoiler:was different and I prefer the comic version.

Yeah, but in a cryptic way like saying..."we all are the walking dead" so Rick wouldn't really know what he was saying
Nah, if that were what Dr. Jenner whispered, Rick wouldn't have been so shocked when the skank told him she was pregnant. Like others have said, it was likely something more cryptic/less straight forward--ie. "WE are the walking dead." A message like that wouldn't have made much sense to Rick until he saw Shane resurrect as a zombie without getting bitten.
...Or the show diverges from the comic series (again) and we find out that Jenner told Rick he's immune to the zombie virus all together--which would make him the proverbial "key to the cure."
Personally, I'd be happy with either message.
Originally posted by RobtardI'm DL'ing the first season now, so I can't be 100% positive, but I could have sworn Jenner said something to the effect of him being the equivalent of a groundskeeper (or somesuch) at the CDC before the zombie scourge hit--I don't think he was an actual geneticist. He also made it clear that his wife was the brains of the operation, not him. So even if Rick was the cure (which likely isn't what was said anyway), I doubt very much that Jenner would've had the smarts to create a vaccine with his DNA.
Doubt Jenner would have wanted to blow himself and them up if Rick was a potential cure to the dead rising.
...Not to mention that Jenner had lost the will to live. He stopped giving a f*ck.

What doesn't make much sense now. People dying after being bitten, as the virus is already in everyone.Unless the virus isn't, yet air-born and waiting for a new corpse to animate.

As was mentioned by Kirkman: zombies are very dirty creatures. A bite from one of them either kills you because of bacterial infection (which is where the trademark fever comes into play), or blood loss. You don't become a zombie because it was 'passed' to you by the bite per se, you become a zombie because you died. Death (by any means) is the trigger. For instance, if Carl ended up dying after being shot by Otis, he would have still 'resurrected' as a zombie.

He wasn't shocked about her being pregnant though. He was shocked about all the morning after pills and he thought she terminated the pregnancy, right?
